Pinocchio
Geppetto was a poor, lonely wood carver who carved a puppet from a piece of wood to live with him. After
many hours of hard work, he carved a wooden puppet boy. He has named it Pinocchio. He wanted to have
a real boy of his own. One day a bright star which was a blue fairy listened to Geppetto’s wish and turned
Pinocchio into life. Geppetto was very happy about this situation. Pinocchio was a very naughty boy. One
day he saw the door slightly open and he ran away from home. Geppetto was arrested when he took over
the puppet. Pinocchio returned to Geppetto’s home alone and he met the Talking Cricket. The cricket was
patient and like a philosopher. He wanted to put Pinocchio on the right path by giving some helpful advice

money would multiply. Pinocchio believed in the fox's story and he lost all his money. The blue fairy again
appeared and asked Pinocchio about the money. Pinocchio lied by making some excuses. His nose grew
longer and longer. The fairy realised that he kept on lying. The fairy warned him again and helped him by
returning the money. The next day, Pinocchio met the circus owner on his way to school. The circus owner
was angry when he saw Pinocchio as he thought that Pinocchio had run away from the circus. He punished
him by throwing him into the deep blue sea where he was swallowed by a giant whale. The blue fairy that
helped Pinocchio appeared again and rescued him from the whale's stomach. When Papa Geppetto found
him, they ran and hugged each other and started crying. Pinocchio promised his father he would change
into a better boy and obey him. At the end, the fairy granted him to be a real human boy. They lived
