A. Product Ideas
There are several ideas to innovate and creating new product to help human solve their
problem, they are:
2) Automatic Peeler
This idea is from noodle maker machine, where people can easily make noodle by
turning the pedal. Therefore, peeler also can take the idea to peel fruit or vegetable
easily. Because when cooking, people often spend a lot of time in peeling but not too
optimal, so we need tools to help us effectively peeling.

C. Product Description
Food Warmer is a product designed to warm your food / drinks in a container. With the
motto "Warm Your Food, Warm Your Heart", Food Warmer tries to innovate to solve the
problems of consumers who often travel with food, but the food is already cold and
temperature guarding products, like thermos cannot work optimally to keep the
temperature.
There are several Food Warmer's advantages, such as:

II. IDENTIFYING CUSTOMER NEEDS
A. Methodology
To identify the customers’ needs we use several methods to collect the data, such as:
Questionnaire Form
Questionnaire which create and listed in Google Form is spreaded through social media
to our customer, we ensure the person who list their needs statement is person who is
our main customer, where we set the Google Form will automatically stop the
respondent in answering the questions if they answer our first question (Are you a lunch
box, drink bottle, or baby milk bottle users?) with “no”. So, we will not receive any
feedback from non-customer.

Based on table 5, we can see that level of importance from groups. For group function,
the score is 4.42, safety group with 4.63, appearance or design group with 3.23, size and
weight group is 4.42, for the material group is 4.16, for price group is 3.86, and the last
is energy group is 3.77. The most importance safety group, in the second place there is
function group and size and weight group with same importance level, the third is
material used group, the forth is price group, the fifth is energy sources, and the last is
the appearance or design group.

4.21 and 3.51. Where it determines the importance of each needs statement, customers
said that the product needs to effectively and quickly warming the food or drink. They
think it is really important. But the product do not really need the indicator lamp which
determine the product has done the warming process, because it is not really necessary,
but if the product has it, it would be better. The product also need to be multifunctional,

because they want to be more practical in using this product. And the last the easy
operation system, it is not really affect the product, where customers will not really
consider this factor.

that the product safety during travelling is really necessary and really affect how
customer will buy the product. For the product safety for children and for food or drink
is almost the same, where both are important for customers, and they will consider the
safety of the product before they buy.

least important. The first thing is Safety, therefore to make our product we need to
consider the safety for users, followed by the size and weight need to practical and need

colourful options for the products.

C. Concepts Selection
Based on previous section, we know that we have two different concepts, therefore to
identify which concept is better with their own specifications. There are 2 steps, which

2) Concept Scoring
In this step, we are going to score each concept. We would specify the ideas to get the
best concept. In concept scoring, there will be importance, weight, rating, and also the
weighted score. In rating, we have a scale from 1 to 5. Score 1 means “much worse
than”, score 2 means “worse than”, score 3 means “same as”, score 4 means “better
than”, and score 5 means “much better than”.
