Bawang Merah and Bawang Putih Drama Script

The player :

1. Bawang Putih,

2. Bawang Putih Mother,

3. Bawang Putih Father,

4. Bawang Merah Mother,

5. Bawang Merah, and

6. The Prince.

The script of this drama is divided into 5 Acts - each act of the players alternates with each other

SCENE 1:

[Mother Bawang Putih is dying. He told his puppet princess ]

Bawang Putih: "Yes, Ma."

Mother Bawang Putih: "After mother is gone, remain a modest child."

Bawang Putih: [Drying tears.] "Yes, mother..."

Bawang Putih's father: [Crying, witnessing this.]

[After ordering like that, Bawang Putih's mother died accompanied by Bawang Putih's sobbing and
Bawang Putih's father. ]

ROUND 2 :

[After Bawang Putih's mother died, Bawang Putih's father married Bawang Putih's mother. This makes
Bawang Putih's life unhappy. Along with her son named Bawang Merah, the old woman treats Bawang
Putih to her heart's content]

Bawang Merah's mother: "Bawang Putihhhh!!!"

Bawang Putih: [Comes awkwardly] "Yes, Mah."

Bawang Merah's mother: "Where are you from? Called a long time ago! This is spilled!
Bawang Merah: [Suddenly comes and pushes Bawang Putih. Then drops the food.] "Clean this up,
everyone."

Bawang Putih: [ Sighing. But, willy-nilly it will be done too.]

[Bawang Merah's mother and Bawang Merah chuckled at that.]

[Because of the behavior of her stepmother and step-sister, Bawang Putih felt sad. It is now a kara stick.
There was nothing he could lean on since his father died.]

Bawang Putih : [Looking at the stars in the sky sadly.] "Oh, God, why is my life like this? My closest
people are all gone now. There is no one who loves me now."

[Bawang Putih prays, may there be a good-hearted man who comes and becomes her lover. The prayer
was recorded by an angel and heard by God.]

ROUND 3 :

[Bawang Putih is about to go home after washing his clothes in the river, when he meets the handsome
Prince.]

Prince: [Sitting on his horse.] "Oh, beautiful girl, may I ask you something?"

Bawang Putih: [Turns to the source of the voice. And retreated a few steps because of the Prince's sharp
gaze. Then, he bowed down.] "Please, Sir. What do you want to ask the servant?"

Prince: "I was hunting with my guards. But, in my excitement, I went too fast for them. When I wanted
to go back, I lost track of them. If you don't mind, would you give me directions which way is good to go
back to my palace? "

Bawang Putih: [Pointing to the path the Prince wanted.]

Prince: "Oiya, before I go, may I ask what your name is?"

Bawang Putih: "My name is Bawang Putih, Prince."

[That was the first meeting between Prince and Bawang Putih. The meeting left a mark on the Prince's
heart. Until, secretly, the Prince paid attention to Bawang Putih. Because he has fallen in love.]

ROUND 4:
[Bawang Garlic runs scared. He was chased by his stepmother and step-sister, because he had removed
his clothes. Prince helps Bawang Putih.]

Prince: "Hey, Bawang Putih, come here.

Bawang Putih: [Immediately following the Prince's words.]

[Finally, Bawang Putih is safe from the pursuit of his stepmother and stepsister. Prince took Bawang
Putih to a safe place. Then, tell stories. The prince sympathized with Bawang Putih's life story and
immediately proposed to her. He wants to save Bawang Putih's life.]

Prince: "Your life story is really dramatic. But, apart from all that, since I saw you, I have fallen in love.
Bawang Putih will you marry me?"

Bawang Putih: "When it's the Prince's wish..."

[Then, marry them. After getting married, the Prince settled the problem between Bawang Putih and his
stepmother and step-sister.]

ROUND 5:

[Mother Bawang Merah and Bawang Merah huddled in front of Bawang Putih and Pangeran. The child's
mother faces trial for their previous actions.]

Prince: "Guards, bring those two people here!"

Ibu Bawang Merah: "Forgive us, Prince. We promise to change the bad nature we have."

Prince: [Staring at Bawang Putih, his wife. Asking for the decision.]

Bawang Putih: [Returning the Prince's gaze, her husband. Then, he stood up and approached his
stepmother and stepbrother.] "I could have forgotten everything that mother and sister did. But... One
condition you must do..."

Mother Bawang Merah: "What is it? Just say it. We will do so with pleasure..."

Bawang Putih: "You have to leave here, and don't let me see you again. If I see you again, then I will
order the guards to arrest you and throw you in jail."

Prince: "Now, get out of our way!"

[Mother Bawang Merah and Bawang Merah bow down to thank them for the generosity that Bawang
Putih and the Prince gave.]

Mother Bawang Merah and Bawang Merah: "Thank you for the kindness of both of you." [The two
quickly left.]
[After the departure of her stepmother and step-sister, Bawang Putih lived happily with the Prince.]
