Importance

The importance of having an emergency kit ready in our house is that it gives us peace
of mind knowing that we’re prepared from any calamity. Planning an emergency route
is an important step to prepare and protect your household for unforeseen events. An
emergency kit will help us keep safe and provide the necessities that we would need in
order to survive for at least a month. Having one in your house reassures you safety.

Use
The use of an emergency kit is when there’s an accident or any type of calamity that’s
going to affect you and your family. It’s the type of boxes that you should check and fill
in regularly because you’ll never know when to use it, some kinds of dangers are silent
but deadly. Your emergency kit should contain the basic human needs such as water
and food, radio, batteries, and power banks too in case one of your phones die, you can
still contact your friends and family members.

Meaning/Goal
This project is made in order to alert the youth that having an
emergency kit in their house is a must especially we’re in a
country where earthquakes and typhoons could be considered as
almost “normal” here in the Philippines. We made this so that we
could raise awareness and teach others the ‘Why’ of having an
emergency kit at home. Our overall goal is to inform and spread
our knowledge about creating an emergency kit for ourselves.
