INTRODUCTION

Variations are oscillatory motion. They move with a frequency in a periodic motion and is limited to
an amplitude, naturally. Thus, resulting in a standing wave pattern which produces “nodal ends” at
which the points of oscillation begin and end. The natural frequency or the resonant frequency
identifies the particularity of this phenomenon, i.e., it is used to examine the number of oscillations
produced consecutively in these standing wave-vibrations (a tuning fork initially has this property).
The resonant frequency moves inertially until an external wave with an identical frequency is applied
to the former system, demonstrating Resonance. One can replicate this by observing air, subjected
to vibration in a container until it produces a sound; the same criteria show this if the top of a hollow
bottle is blown at an angle that reciprocates a tone. Herman Helmholtz, German scientist, took
advantage of this occurrence which he applied in his invention of the acoustic resonator in the mid-
19th century.
