A. At first Americans celebrated in honor of all that this country offered their ancestors.

A. Yes, people gather to celebrate and give thanks for all the good things that have
happened during the year.

A. The whole family gets together and we prepare dinner together.
B. What kinds of food are eaten?
A. We usually eat stuffed turkey and mashed potatoe and a pie.

A. My favorite thing about Thanksgiving is that we all get together and have a great time.

A. Yeah. We also watch the thanksgiving day parade.
B. I have heard about it and hope to see it today.

B. My favorite celebration is christmas.
A. And in your family, why do they celebrate it?
B. We celebrated in honor of the birth of Jesus.
A. What do you usually do on Christmas?
B. Just like Thanksgiving, we gather as a family to wait for 12 am.
A. Do you buy new clothes?
B. Yes. It has been a tradition since I was born.
A. In my family we wear formal clothes. How about in your family?
B. We wear casual clothes.
A. What kinds of food are eaten?
B. We usually eat chicken, potatoes, rice, nacatamales and torrejas, and you?
A. We eat the same but we also have turkey.
B. That’s great. Another thing that we do at Christmas is watch Fireworks display.

A. I have just seen the weather forecast and according to it, the weekend will be windy
and cold in San Pedro Sula.
B. Is that the weather forecast for this weekend?
