Christmas is the only time when the Christians around the world celebrates in common. Families
spend most of their time together, attending mass, going out and eating food in restaurants or just even
cooking delicious and quality foods at home. Christmas is the birth of Jesus Christ so it is the most
special day for me, we celebrate Christmas because it is a part of our tradition. During Christmas many
people are receiving gifts not only with their tito’s and tita's however they receive it from their love
one’s, friends and some with their own parents. Bieng with my family is the best gift for me, spending
time with them is the most happiest moment for me, I’m so lucky that god gave me this gift. Additionally
Christmas is the most awaited season almost all people in the world especially from children, because
they are expecting gifts from Santa Claus.

As for me and my family, Christmas is the moment we are waiting for in every year. It’s the time
when everyday is a party day, because everyday is a happy day. We are all happy because because we
are complete. I still have my grandparents on my mother side, but unfortunately this is the 4 th year since
I lost my grandfather in my father side. Even if my mother’s sister was not with us every Christmas
season for almost five years because she is still in abroad to provide all the needs of her son, but she call
us everyday that made her feel home even in Christmas season. Aside from Christmas, we also
welcomed the year of the rabbit with a bang!! We were at my grandparent’s house we had a family
reunion and I was able to see my cousins from far and near again. Mother and Lola cooked delicious
foods for our dinner. There were ham, spaghetti, macaroni salad, buko salad, Lecheflan, fried chicken,
and pig lechon made by my Lolo and uncles.We ate dinner together, we also prepared lots of fruits, we
set the table with prosperity bowl at the center as a family’s belief. I got “boga” which did it myself. I
used it not only to make sound on new year however I believe that this is one of the ways to drive bad
spirits. We prayed together, I thanked God for giving us lots of blessings and a very wondrous and
memorable 2022 and I hope abd pray that He will continue to bless me and my family with good health
and protection.

I’m so thankful to God that he gave me this life, and having a happy and strong family, I hope that
he will give me my full potential this year, for me to focus on my studies in school, so that someday all
my dreams will come true. In all Christmas season that I experienced was great, but I’m getting bored
cause I want to experience what snow feels like, I hope that someday we will also experience snow.
