The festival that I enjoy the most is Chinese New Year.

This
festival marks the first day of lunar calendar 农 历 . It is celebrated
among the Chinese.
Before Chinese New Year, we will do the spring cleaning 大扫除
According 根据 to my parents, cleaning is to get rid of 去除 the dirt
and bad luck 霉运. In contrast 相反, cleaning also welcome the good
luck to the house. After the spring cleaning, we will do some
decoration 布置 at our house.
At the same time, my mother will bake 烘 焙 some cookies.
These cookies will be served to the visitors during the Chinese New
Year. Not only that, we will go shopping to buy new clothes and also
the beverage 饮料 needed for the Chinese New Year.
On the eve of Chinese New Year, all the relatives and family
members will gather at our grandparents’ house for reunion dinner
团 圆 饭 . This is the happiest moment for us to update each other
about the current things. The next day, we will put on the new
clothes and wish our elderly “Gong Xi Fatt Chai” which means good
wealth. The elderly will give us ang pow which is a red packet with
money in it.
I like Chinese New Year the most because I can play with my
cousins and receive a lot of ang pow. For sure,, I can also eat a lot of
delicious food.
