My name is Quảng. I am a member of team 3. This is khải and Hằng. Today, we are talking about
lunar new year festival. We talk in 10 minutes.
The following are generalizations about the origin of Lunar New Year. It is the most important
holiday for Vietnamese to celebrate with traditional parties, fireworks and delicious meal. Tet is
usually from the end of January to early February. Before Tet, the Vietnamese prepare many
things for the threee main days. They orgainze activities such as clean their house, buy peach
and apricot blossom , buy newclothes, making chung cake and the things like that. Particularly
New year’s eve celebrated on the night of December 31st. It is a time when Vietnamese people
say goodbye to the old year and welcome the new year. It is marked by a countdown and
fireworks display. During Tet holidays people usually go to the pagoda, visit relatives and friends
to give each other wishes and pray for a new year of lucky and happiness
