In our country, one of the most cherished celebrations is the Lunar

New Year, also known as Tet Nguyen Dan. It takes place at the
beginning of the lunar calendar, which usually falls in late January
or early February. Tet is celebrated all across Vietnam, but families
gather in their hometowns to commemorate this special occasion.

In the lead-up to Tet, the atmosphere becomes electrifying. People

rush to tidy their houses, decorate them with beautiful flowers, and
hang colorful lanterns. The streets are filled with the sound of
ear-popping-loud firecrackers, and the markets buzz with shoppers
seeking new clothes and gifts for their loved ones.

During Tet, it's customary for families to visit their ancestors' graves
to pay respects, visit well-dressed friends and relatives, and
exchange well-wishes for the new year. This holiday spans over
several exciting days, allowing people to savor quality time with
their families and strengthen bonds.

As the lunar calendar is based on cycles and phases, Tet marks the
start of a new year and the hope for a fresh beginning. It's a time of
joy, reflection, and renewal, symbolizing the rich cultural heritage
and traditions that define our nation.
