I briefly introduce the famous traditional festival in Vietnam.

Lunar New Year is one of the most important celebrations in

Vietnamese culture. The origin of this festival comes from China
using the lunar calendar, but the country has changed its own
culture & customs to suit our country

At the end of the year, I go hometown with my family to

celebrate the Vietnamese Lunar New Year, Tet Nguyen Đan.
When like that, I feel very happy, comfortable and nervous to
welcome good luck in the new year

In my hometown, I help my family clean the house, wash old

mats, prepare candies, snacks & sunflower seeds and make bánh
Chung to prepare for the new year. On New Year's Eve, my
family gathers to eat a year-end meal, happily share the joys, and
sing Tet songs & at 0:00 we watch fireworks together to welcome
the year. Tet also has a folk song "on the 1st of the Father's Tet,
the and of the Mother's Tet, and the 3rd of the Teacher's Tet"

On New Year's Day, I visit my deceased grandparents, visit

relatives I haven't seen for a long time, receive lucky money &
eat traditional festival foods. Cousins & I enjoy traditional games
during Tet, including bau cua tom ca, tien len, xi dach, ...etc.
When I receive lucky money from adults, I greeting wishes for
Tet to good luck for the new year
