This poem praises God for creating all things in nature, from little flowers and birds to mountains, rivers, sunsets, seasons, fruits, trees, and meadows. It expresses gratitude that God gave humans eyes to see and appreciate His wonderful works, and voices to tell others of His greatness as the creator of all things.

All things wise and wonderful, The Lord God made them all,
2. Each little flowers that opens
Each little bird that sings, He made there glowing colours, He made their tiny wings 3. The purple headed mountain, The river running by, The sunset in the morning That brightens up the sky 4. The cold wind in the winter, The pleasant summer sun, The ripe fruit in the graden, He made them every one, 5. The tall trees in the greenwood, The meadows for our play, The rushes by the water To gather every day 6. He gave us eyes to see them, And lips that we might tell How great is God Almighty, Who has made all things well
