Portfolio Data Analyst

Flutter UK&I - Technology Evolution

Reports to: Portfolio Manager Location: All Locations

Role purpose:

This role will design and create data products that drive positive change across the UK & Ireland
Division. Working closely with our principal developer and solution designer, they will have
responsibility and ownership of the data analysis and visualisation process, along with overarching
dashboard design and development utilising a User Centred Design approach.

The products this role creates look over a diverse spectrum of activity across the entire Division,
enabling sustainable continuous improvement and actively supporting the execution of the
Technology and Evolution strategy.

The role may require occasional travel to our offices across Europe and fully remote working will be
considered.

Accountabilities:

 Responsibility for establishing and evolving the role’s data analysis and visualisation
methods and best practices.
 Understanding the end user needs and creating appropriate calculations and queries to
surface the relevant insights from the various data sets.
 Producing the appropriate views and explores in Looker to meet the enable the creation
of user facing dashboards.
 Creation of user focused dashboards and ongoing support of user community, including
knowledge base maintenance in Confluence.
 Developing and refining the touchpoints between your role, the solution designer and
principal developer.

Key Strengths:

 A strong working knowledge of SQL, Python and Git, with NumPy, Panda libs and
LookML a big plus.
 The ability to produce meaningful, user focused dashboards and reports (from
various and complex data sets) for a wide audience.
 A developed sense of ownership to drive the evolution and continuous
improvement of this role’s niche within the team.
 Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail; well organised
 Critical thinking: look at the numbers, trends and data and come to new conclusions
based on findings
 Developed time management and prioritisation skills to effectively manage the
backlog of work and stakeholder expectations
 Strong communications skills that can bridge low level solution details and higher
level strategic objectives
