Note: All information you will need (URL, login credentials etc.) was sent to you when your extension got set
up (see example below). Try to search “3cx welcome” in your mailbox. If you can’t find it, let us know so we
can re-send)

Also, you can’t send SMS via windows desktop application, and you have to use either web browser or mobile
application

 Send SMS via web browser

1. Open web browser and type company specific 3cx URL (check initial email we sent for your
extension). In the example above it is https://yw.3cx.us/webclient
2. Enter credentials for your extension (check initial email we sent for your extension)
3. Once you log in, follow the steps below

Enter phone number and press “Start chat”

Or search existing contact

Select your number (you may see more than 1 number if you are part of different ring groups etc.)

Write your message and press send icon or press enter to send a message

Send SMS via application installed on your device

Sending via mobile application is very similar to sending via web browser

Open 3cx app on your mobile device.

Click chat icon at the bottom then click “+” sign and select first option from the top.

Type phone number in full format e.g. +19168901010 or search for existing contact. If you entered phone
number, select “Send to <phone number>”

If you searched for existing contact, select “Send to <contact name>”

Select your phone number (you may see multiple phone number if you are part of different ring groups etc..)

Compose your message and send it as shown below

 How to add new contact

Via web browser

We may need to add contact so we can send SMS easier. Let’s see how that works

Log in to your extension if not already using steps above

Click “Contacts” and click “+” sign

Fill the contact information

Note that phone number must be in full format e.g. +19168901010

Adding contact via mobile application is very similar to steps above

Open 3cx application. Click on “Contact” at the bottom of the application and fill contact information.
