Stress is defined as a state of severe physiological and psychological tension.

Stress is a normal
part of life but if left uncontrolled and managed it can lead to healthy problems in a human
body. below is a brief on how one’s well-being.
Stress, especially chronic stress, provokes health hazardous behaviors such as smoking and
alcohol consumption, that may in turn have negative effects on the immune system. This affect
an individual in a way that he or she is more likely to develop health problems like lung cancer
and hepatic related diseases. Stress can also trigger heart attacks. When an individual is under
stress, either acute or chronic stress, his or her blood pressure goes up because stress exposes
the body of the victim to harmful, persistently elevated levels of stress hormones like
adrenaline and cortisol. Immune system suppression is another impact of stress. The system is
there to protect the body from microbial diseases, when a person experiences chronic stress
like bad marriages, divorce and poverty, it suppresses the ability of the body to fight invading
disease-causing microorganisms as a result his or her body is prone to infectious allergies and
diseases.
This is how stress affect one’s health.
