TRAINING OF SEAWEED CHIPS MAKING PROCESS

IN TOLOKALO VILLAGE

Day I : Monday, 16 December 2015. Trainer : Nurmayati.

Activity : Giving theory “How To Make Seaweed Chips”. Moderator : Nur Imamah.

Time Allotment: 10.00 a.m – 12.00 a.m

SEAWEED CHIPS

Tools:

1. Stove.
2. Large metal vessel for steaming rice.
3. Chips’ mold.
4. Cutting board.
5. Knife.
6. Tray.
7. Blender.

Ingredient :

1. 1 kg wet seaweed.
2. 1 liter clean water.
3. 2 kg flour.
4. 1 kg garlic.
5. 15 gram flavoring.
6. 10 gram sugar.
7. 50 gram salt.
8. ½ kg Fish.

Making process :

1. Cutting seaweed.
2. Blending seaweed.
3. Pounding garlics.
4. Mixing all the ingredient .
5. Molding the dough into circles.
6. Steaming them during 15 minutes.
7. Detaching them from the mold.
8. Drying them in the sun.
9. Frying the dried-chips.

Day II : Tuesday, 17 December 2015. Trainer : Nurmayati.

Activity: Giving theory “How To Make Seaweed Chips”. Moderator : Nur Imamah.

Time Allotment : 10.00 a.m – 13.00 a.m

Making Process and Result:

1. Cutting seaweed.
2. Blending seaweed and some water till it is all mixed like poridge.
3. Pounding garlics.
4. Mixing the pounded-garlics with sugar, salt, and flavoring.
5. Blending fresh fish then adding some water till it becomes like poridge.
6. Mixing the fresh fish with blended-garlics, sugar, and salt.
7. After mixing all the ingredient, adding the cornstarch little by little while stirring it.
8. Molding the dough into long square by using hands.
9. Steaming them during 15 minutes.
10. Detaching them from the large metal vessel for steaming rice.
11. Cooling down the cooked-dough.
12. Slicing the cooked-dough into circles.
13. Drying them in the sun.
14. Frying the dried-chips along three days.
