HANDOUT ACTIVITIES

READING

Hello Susan,

I am at the airport in Guatemala. I take my flight to the Miami International

Airport in two hours, and then I wait three more hours to take my last plane to
NY. I can’t wait to see you and the family!

I am a bundle of nerves because of the customs officer interview. I know I don’t

have to worry, but I always get nervous. They always ask the same questions:
How often do you travel? Do you travel alone? Do you carry a lot of cash? I
always have the same answers: I seldom travel; yes, I always travel alone; and
no, I don’t carry a lot of cash. That’s what ATMs are for!

Anyway, I am all set and ready to talk to you soon. I hope you answer back
before I the plane takes off.

Love,

Lola
