Ans: Soon –Bok lived with her grandson in a small village near
a wildlife forest.
2. What made the tiger enter Soon-Bok's courtyard?
Ans: The tiger was looking for food and Minijoon`s cries
made him enter his courtyard.
3. How did the grandmother try to stop Minijoon's cries, the
first time?
Ans: The first time Grandma Soon –Bok said that he should
stop crying loudly otherwise the nasty striped tiger will hear
him and come to get him.
4. Why was the tiger taken by surprise?
Ans: The tiger was taken by surprise because when the old
lady frightened the boy with tiger`s presence, he paid no
attention but a persimmon stopped him at once.
5. What is a persimmon? Why did its mention frighten the
tiger?
Ans: A persimmon is a fruit which looks like tomato. Its
mention frightened the tiger because due to its mention the
boy became silent.
6. Who entered Soon-Bok's house at this moment and why?
Ans: The village thief entered Soon-Bok`s house at this
moment to steal her cow.
