policeman

dining room
credit card

3. In each sentence, put stress on important words

Stress important words: nouns, verbs, adjectives, and adverbs.

Don’t stress articles, prepositions, pronouns, and modal verbs.

Stress words by saying them slightly louder and more slowly

4. Use chunking. Divide words into groups and pause between them

5. Use linking between words. Don’t separate each word

Intonation describes how your voice rises and falls as you speak.

Intonation falls at the end of sentences.
