Democratic countries failed in controlling Corona Virus

Throughout the history of humankind, discrimination has remained a part of their life based on religion,
color, nationality, ethnicity, gender and class owing to competition for resources and discriminatory
political and social systems. On the other hand, no doubt, competition is also important for the progress
of country promoting real talent but, only if it is in the field of Science and technology, and education
bringing positive change in the society rather than for resources or economic etc. As far as democracy is
concerned, almost all the European countries have promoted it claiming to be the reason behind their
development in the field of health, economy, social rights and other institutions. Therefore, many
developing countries such as Pakistan, India and other African countries adopted it believing that it
would change the fate of their countries. Whereas, progress of all democratic countries, be it African,
Asian, and European, have been exposed by the corona pandemic when they failed to accommodate
immense numbers of patients in their hospitals, failed in providing food to their people during crisis, and
even failed to maintain law and order, resulting in discrimination.

All the democratic countries immensely failed in coping the corona pandemic resulting in socio-
economic instability in their countries. When the corona virus started, all the European countries started
criticizing China owing to the fact that it was started from there, even the Trump called it Chinese Virus
just to tarnish the image of his opponent country. However, if they had taken timely measures instead
of calling Virus fraud, virus wouldn’t have reached to European countries. Moreover, since the first case
reported in European countries especially America, social instability started; for instance, people of the
great America started looting food, clothes, shoes and other useable items from shops. To maintain the
law and order, America, who always spoke against using the military force against civilians, had no other
option than force to control the situation. Furthermore, many other European countries such as Brazil
who was considered as having best world heath system also failed to manage the corona patients.

In the region of Asia, situation in the democratic countries was not different from the Europe. In India,
who is the biggest democracy in the world, vigorously failed to tackle the situation. Their people even
didn’t get the food after the lockdown and government failed to provide them. As government’s
potential and credibility was exposed blame game was started, some blamed Tablighi jammat as a cause
of Corona Virus whereas some blamed others religion. However, Pakistan’s government was also
exposed. There were not even ventilators, beds and other equipment to facilitate the corona patients.
When the lockdown was announced, people had nothing to eat and government had no reserves or
resources to help the poor people.

On the other hand, all dictator countries such as North Korea and China vigorously controlled virus
getting rid of it owing to the fact that instead of criticizing and blaming other countries they practically
worked to end the corona virus and kept the law and order maintained; for instance, China built the
hospital in not more than one week to facilitate the corona patients. And North Korea, didn’t even allow
the corona virus to enter in their country by making strong inceptions at borders. So, no doubt, Corona
virus is the issue for the entire world but it has revealed the reality of Democracy and has proved that
dictatorship is better than democracy in emergency situation because it maintains the law and order
better than the democratic leader.
