DR-ID 300CL (V10.

0): PC Setup (HP 600G2)

Initial Version; Sep. 7, 2016

1. Opening the package


1) Open the cardboard package.

-> Perform “1. Verification upon Unpacking” in the annexed “DR-ID300CL V10.0 Product Inspection
Procedure Guideline (600G2)”.

2) Take out the PC, the keyboard, the mouse, and the power cord.
3) Set up the keyboard, and the mouse with the PC.
4) Connect the “DisplayPort to DVI Video Adapter cable” to the right side of the Display Port located
behind the PC panel, and a display is connected to a DVI connector. (The red frame of the following
figure.)

5) Using a network cable, connect the PC and the jig PC to the HUB.
6) Attach a “Headphone Connector Protection Cap” (317N100145) to the “headphone connector” and
“microphone connector” of the front panel of the PC respectively.
7) Connect the power cord to the PC.

2. Setting BIOS
1) Turn on the PC.
2) Press “F10” key as soon as “hp” is displayed in the center of the screen.
3) The BIOS screen will be displayed. Select “Advanced” tab, and click “Boot Options”.
4) “Boot Options” screen will be displayed. Configure the setting as follows, and click “<-”.
CD-ROM Boot: Uncheck the checkbox
USB Storage Boot: Uncheck the checkbox
Network (PXE) Boot: Uncheck the checkbox
Legacy Boot Order: Uncheck the checkbox (Or should be grayed out)
5) Click “Secure Boot Configuration” in “Advanced” tab.
6) “Secure Boot Configuration” screen will be displayed. Configure the setting as follows, and click
“<-”.

Configure Legacy Support and Secure Boot: Select “Legacy Support Disable and
Secure Boot Disable”
7) Click “Built-In Device Options” in “Advanced” tab.
8) “Built-In device Options” screen will be displayed. Configure the setting as follows, and click “<-”.
Wake On LAN: Select “Boot to Hard Drive”
9) Click “Power Management Options” in “Advanced” tab.
10) “Power Management Options” screen will be displayed. Configure the setting as follows, and click
“<-”.
PCI Express Power Management: Uncheck the checkbox
11) Click “Remote Management Options” in “Advanced” tab.
12) “Remote Management Options” screen will be displayed. Configure the setting as follows, and click
“Exit”.
Active Management (AMT): Uncheck the checkbox
13) “Save Changes?” screen will be displayed. Click “Yes”.
14) The PC will be restarted.
15) If “Secure boot.” screen will be displayed. Enter the displayed 4-digit number and then press
“Enter”.

3. Starting Windows 10
1) After a while, “Here’s the legal stuff” screen will be displayed. Click “Accept”.
2) “Get going fast” screen will be displayed. Click “Use Express settings”.
3) A login screen for “Administrator” will be displayed. Enter “fcr-iip” for “Password” and then press
“ENTER”.

-> Perform “2. Verifying BIOS” in the annexed “DR-ID300CL V10.0 Product Inspection Procedure Guideline
(600G2)”.

4. Setting Disk Management


1) Right click “Start” button and then select “Control Panel” from the menu shown.
2) “All Control Panel Items” window will be displayed. Click “Administrative Tools”.
3) “Administrative Tools” window will be displayed. Double click “Computer Management”.
4) “Computer Management” window will be displayed. Click “Disk Management” on the left pane.
5) Right click “(C:)” and then select “Extend Volume” from the menu shown.
6) “Welcome to the Extend Volume Wizard” dialog box will be displayed. Click “Next”.
7) “Select Disks” dialog box will be displayed. Set “Select the amount space in MB” to “91759” and
click “Next”.
8) “Completing the Extend Volume Wizard” dialog box will be displayed. Click “Finish”.
9) Confirm that the following.

10) Right click “Unallocated” on the right area of “(C:)” and then select “New Simple Volume” from
the menu shown.
11) “Welcome to the New Simple Volume Wizard” dialog box will be displayed. Click “Next”.
12) “Specify Volume Size” dialog box will be displayed. Set “Simple volume size in MB” to the
maximum disk space size and click “Next”.
13) “Assign Drive Letter or Path” dialog box will be displayed. Confirm that “Assign the following drive
letter” has been selected.
14) Select “I” from pull-down menu, and then click “Next”.
15) “Format Partition” dialog box will be displayed. Select “Format this volume with the following
settings”, and then configure the settings as follows:
File System: NTFS
Allocation unit size: Default
Volume label: Image
Check the checkbox for “Perform a quick format”
Uncheck the checkbox for “Enable file and folder compression”
16) “Completing the New Simple Volume Wizard” dialog box will be displayed. Click “Finish”.
17) Confirm that the following is displayed in the right side of “(C:)”.

-> Perform “3. Verification of Device Manager” and “4.Checking Hard Disk” in the annexed “DR-ID300CL
V10.0 Product Inspection Procedure Guideline (600G2)”.

5. Setting Network Adapter


1) Right click “Start” button and then select “Control Panel” from the menu shown.
2) “All Control Panel Items” window will be displayed. Click “Device Manager”.
3) “Device Manager” window will be displayed. Right click “Network adapters” > “Intel Ethernet
Connection (2) I219-LM”, and then click “Properties” from the menu shown.
4) “Intel(R) Ethernet Connection (2) I219-LM Properties” dialog box will be displayed. Uncheck the
checkbox for “Wake on LAN” > “Wake on Pattern Match” on the “Power Management” tab, and
click “OK”.
Note) With no settings mentioned above on the “Power Management” tab, set “Wake on Pattern
Match” on the “Advanced” tab to “Disabled”.

5) Close “Device Manager” window.

6. Setting Display
1) Click “Display” in “All Control Panel Item” window.
2) “Display” window will be displayed. Click “Adjust resolution”.
3) “Change the appearance of your display” window will be displayed. Click “Advanced Settings”.
4) “Plug and Play Monitor and…” dialog box will be displayed. Click “List All Modes” on the
“Adapter” tab.
5) “List All Modes” dialog box will be displayed. Select “1280 by 1024, True Color (32bit), 60Hertz”
and click “OK”.
6) Click “OK” in “Plug and Play Monitor and…” dialog box.
7) Click “OK” in “Change the appearance of your display” dialog box.
8) Click “<- (Back to ~)” located in the upper left of “Display” window, and then return to “All Control
Panel Item” window.

7. Setting Sound
1) Click “Sound” in “All Control Panel Item” window.
2) “Sound” dialog box will be displayed. Select “Speakers (Default Device)” on the “Playback” tab
and click “Properties”.
3) “Speakers Properties” dialog box will be displayed. Drag the slider of “Realtek HD Audio output” on
the “Levels” tab to the right (100%).
4) Click “OK” in “Speakers Properties” dialog box.
5) Click “OK” in “Sound” dialog box.

8. Setting Security and Maintenance


1) Click “Security and Maintenance” in “All Control Panel Item” window.
2) “Security and Maintenance” window will be displayed. Click “Change Security and Maintenance
settings.” located on the left pane.
3) “Turn messages on or off” window will be displayed. Uncheck as follows, and click “OK”.

4) Close “Security and Maintenance” window.

9. Setting Taskbar
1) Right-click three icons located in the right side of the “Windows” button on the Taskbar and select
“Unpin from taskbar” from the menu shown.

10. Setting Hibernation


1) Press “Windows” + “R” key.
2) “Run” dialog box will be displayed, enter “cmd” and then press “ENTER”.
3) Command prompt will be displayed.
4) Enter “powercfg.exe –h off” for command prompt and then press “ENTER”.
5) Close command prompt.

11. Setting Adobe Reader


1) Double click “Adobe Reader XI” shortcut on the Desktop.
2) “Make Adobe Reader my default PDF application” dialog box will be displayed. Check the check
box for “Do not show this message again”, and then click “OK”.
3) “Adobe Reader was unable to become your default PDF application” dialog box will be displayed.
Click “OK”.
4) “Adobe Reader” window will be displayed. Select “Preference” from “Edit” menu.
5) “Preferences” window will be displayed. Select “Security (Enhanced)” on the left pane.
6) Uncheck the checkbox for “Enable Protected Mode at startup”.
7) “You have chosen to turn off Reader’s Protected Mode. ~” dialog box will be displayed. Click “Yes”.
8) Click “OK” in “Preferences” window.
9) Close “Adobe Reader” window.

12. Setting System


1) Click “Start” > “Settings”.
2) “Settings” window will be displayed. Click “System”.
3) “SYSTEM” window will be displayed. Click “Apps & Features” on the left pane.

5) Click “Default apps” on the left pane.
6) “Default apps” window will be displayed. Click “Photo viewer” and then select “Paint” from the
menu shown.
7) “Before you switch” dialog box will be displayed. Click “Switch anyway”.
8) Click “Web browser” and then select “Internet Explorer” from the menu shown.
9) “Before you switch” dialog box will be displayed. Click “Switch anyway”.
10) Click “Choose default apps by file type”.
11) “CHOOSE DEFAULT APPS BY FILE TYPE” window will be displayed.
12) Click “Microsoft Edge” icon on the right area of “.pdf”.
13) Select “Adobe Reader” from the menu shown.
14) Click “<-” located in the upper left of “CHOOSE DEFAULT APPS BY FILE TYPE” window, and then
return to “SYSTEM” window.
15) Click “About” on the left pane.
16) Click “Rename PC”.
17) “Rename your PC” dialog box will be displayed. Enter “DAxxxxxxxx” (“DA” in capital letters;
enter the last eight digits of Serial Number for “xxxxxxxx”) and click “Next”.
18) “After you restart, your PC name will change to: DAxxxxxxxx” message will be displayed. Click
“Restart now”.
19) The PC will be restarted.
20) As a login screen for “Administrator” is displayed, enter “fcr-iip” for “Password” and then press
“Enter“.

13. Setting Privacy


1) Click “Start” > “Settings”.
2) “Settings” window will be displayed. Click “Privacy”.
3) “PRIVACY” window will be displayed. Click “General” on the left pane.
4) The item of everything is established “Off”.
5) Click “Location” on the left pane.
6) “Location” window will be displayed. Click “Change” for “Location for this device is on”.
7) “Location for this device” dialog box will be displayed. Click and turn it “Off”.
8) Click “Contacts” on the left pane.

9) “Contacts” window will be displayed.
10) The item of everything is established “Off”.
11) Click “Feedback & diagnostics” on the left pane.
12) “Feedback frequency” window will be displayed.
13) Select “Basic” from pull-down menu of “Send your device data to Microsoft”.
14) Click “Background apps” on the left pane.
15) “Background apps” window will be displayed.
16) The item of everything is established “Off”.
17) Click “<-” located in the upper left of “PRIVACY” window, and then return to “Settings” window.

14. Setting Update & Privacy


1) Click “Update & Security” in “Settings” window.
2) “UPDATE & SECURITY” window will be displayed. Click “Windows Defender” on the left pane,
and then click “Add an exclusion”.
3) “ADD AN EXCLUSION” window will be displayed. Click “Exclude a folder”.
4) “Open” dialog box will be displayed. Select “Image (I:)” and click “Exclude this folder”.
5) Close “ADD AN EXCLUSION” window.

15. Setting IP Address


1) Right click “Start” button and then select “Control Panel” from the menu shown.
2) “All Control Panel Item” window will be displayed. Click “Network and Sharing Center”.
3) “Network and Sharing Center” window will be displayed. Click “Change Adapter settings” on the
left pane.
4) “Network Connections” window will be displayed. Right click “Ethernet” and then select
“Properties” from the menu shown.
5) “Ethernet Properties” dialog box will be displayed. Select “Internet Protocol Version 4
(TCP/IPv4)” and then click “Properties”.
6) “Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) Properties” dialog box will be displayed. Select “Use the
following IP address:” and “Use the following DNS server addresses:”, and then perform the
following setting.
“IP address:” “172.16.1.20”
“Subnet mask:” “255.255.0.0”
7) Click “OK” in “Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) Properties” dialog box.
8) Click “OK” in “Ethernet Properties” dialog box.
9) Click “<- (Back to ~)” located in the upper left of “Network Connections” window, and then return to
“All Control Panel Item” window.

16. Adding Components


1) Click “Programs and Features” in “All Control Panel Item” window.
2) Click “Turn Windows features on or off” on the left pane.

3) “Windows Features” dialog box will be displayed. Check the checkboxes for the following items, and
then click “OK”.

17. Setting Internet Information Service


1) Click “Administrative Tools” in “All Control Panel Item”.
2) “Administrative Tools” window will be displayed. Double-click “Internet Information Service (IIS)
Manager”.
3) “Internet Information Service (IIS) Manager” window will be displayed.
4) Click “DAxxxxxxxx” > “Application Pools” on the left pane.
5) Right-click “DefaultAppPool” located in the center pane and select “Basic Settings” from the menu
shown.
6) “Edit Application Pool” dialog box will be displayed.
7) Select “.Net CLR Version v2.0.500727” from pull-down menu of “.Net CLR version:”, and then
click “OK”.
8) Close “Internet Information Service (IIS) Manager” window.
9) Click “<- (Back to ~)” located in the upper left of “Administrative Tools” window, and return to “All
Control Panel Item” window.

18. Firewall Settings


1) Click “Windows Firewall” in “All Control Panel Item” window.
2) “Windows Firewall” window will be displayed. Click “Advanced Settings”.

3) “Windows Firewall with Advanced Security” window will be displayed. Click “Inbound Rules” on
the left pane.
4) Right-click “FTP Server Passive (FTP Passive Traffic-In)” from the list that appears in the center
pane and select “Enable Rule” from the menu shown.
5) Close “Windows Firewall with Advanced Security” window.
6) Click “<- (Back to ~)” located in the upper left of “Windows Firewall” window and go back to “All
Control Panel Item” window.

19. Activate Windows 10 over the phone


1) Press “Windows” + “R” key.
2) “Run” dialog box will be displayed, enter “SLUI 04” and then click “OK”.
3) “Select your country or region” dialog box will be displayed.
4) Select your country from the list, and then click “Next”.
5) “Call and provide your installation ID” dialog box will be displayed. Call the telephone number
provided on the screen. Be prepared to enter the series of numbers listed under Installation ID.
6) Follow the automated phone system to press the buttons on the phone.
Note) These are how you select for the following items.
Product type: Windows
Product Ver.: Windows10
Other than upgrading

No authentication error
7) Follow the automated phone system to enter the installation ID in 7-digit order displayed on the
product screen.
8) The product will be confirmed with a complete set of installation IDs entered.
9) After the product is identified to be genuine, the automated announcement will give a confirmation
ID. Then click “Enter confirmation ID”.
10) “Enter your confirmation ID” dialog box will be displayed.
11) Enter the given ID in 6 digits order into A to H fields and then click “Activate Windows”.
12) “Thanks, you’re all done.” dialog box will be displayed. Click “Close”.
13) Hang up the phone and then restart the PC.
14) When a login screen is displayed, select “Administrator” user and enter “fcr-iip” for “Password”,
and then click “->”.

-> Perform “5. Setup Input Verification” described in the annexed “DR-ID300CL V10.0 Product Inspection
Procedure Guideline (600G2)”.

20. Installing Database Management System


1) Restart the PC.
2) A logon screen for “Administrator” will be displayed. Enter “fcr-iip” for “Password”, and then click

“->”.
3) After a desktop screen is displayed, it waits for 3 minutes.
4) Insert “DR-ID300CL Application Software V10.0 DVD (114Y2150001L02)” (a DVD included in the
package upon shipment) into the DVD drive of the PC.
5) Click “Tap to choose what happens with this disk” message will be displayed on lower right of the
Desktop.
6) “Choose what to do with this disc.” Dialog box will be displayed. Click “Run Setup.bat”.
7) Setup Menu will be displayed.
8) Enter “1” and press the “ENTER” key. (Install Database Management System)
9) Enter “1” and press the “ENTER” key. (SQL Server 2012 Express Edition SP2)
* If “Installation Failed.” is displayed and the screen returns to Setup Menu, the installation
failed. In this case, perform the steps from step 6) again.
* If re-installing is performed five times and the installation still fails, perform “2. Win10 Image
Recovery” and the subsequent steps again.
10) If “Please reboot the system. And select 1) menu again.” and “Press any key to continue...” appear,
restarting the system is required while SQL Server 2012 is being installed. In this case, perform the
following steps. (May be required several times.)
i Press any key to go back to the setup menu.
ii Enter “0” and press the “Enter” key. (Quit)
iii Repeat from step 1).
iv If the installation is completed, perform step 12) or later because step 11) is not displayed.
11) “Press any key...” will be displayed. Press an arbitrary key.
12) On Setup Menu, enter “0”, press the “ENTER” key, and then close the Setup Menu. (Quit)
13) Eject the DVD from the DVD drive.
14) Restart the PC.

21. Installing DR-ID 300CL Application


1) A logon screen for “Administrator” will be displayed. Enter “fcr-iip” for “Password” and then click
“->“.
2) Insert “DR-ID300CL Application Software V10.0 DVD” into the DVD drive.
3) Click “Tap to choose what happens with this disk” message will be displayed on lower right of the
Desktop.
4) “Choose what to do with this disc.” Dialog box will be displayed. Click “Run Setup.bat”.
5) Setup Menu will be displayed. Enter “2” and press the “ENTER” key. (Install DR Console
Application)
6) “Welcome to the InstallShield Wizard for IIP” dialog box will be displayed. Click “Next >”.
7) “Ready to Install the Program” dialog box will be displayed. Click “Install”.
8) “InstallShield Wizard Completed” dialog box will be displayed. Click “Finish”.
9) “Press any key to continue...” will be displayed. Press an arbitrary key.
10) On Setup Menu, enter “10” and press the “ENTER” key. (Install FRIS Modules)

11) “Welcome to the Risiip Installation Program” dialog box will be displayed. Click “OK”.
12) “Begin the installation by clicking the button below.” dialog box will be displayed. Click “Change
Directory”.
13) “Change Directory” dialog box will be displayed. Clear the default path displayed in “Path”,
manually enter “C:¥Program Files¥Risiip” for “Path”, and then click “OK”.
14) “Risiip Setup” dialog box will be displayed. Click “Yes”.
15) Click “Setup Button (PC icon button)” on “Begin the installation by clicking the button below.”
dialog box.
16) “Risiip - Choose Program Group” dialog box will be displayed. Click “Continue” while “Risiip” is
being selected (as in the default state).
17) “Risiip” setup will start.
(I) If “The Destination File is in-Use” message is displayed, click “Ignore”. Then, click “Yes” on
“ignore error?” dialog box.
(II) Click “Yes” for all on “Version Conflict” dialog box.
(III) If “An error occurred while ~” message is displayed, click “Ignore”.
18) “Risiip Setup was completed successfully” dialog box will be displayed. Click “OK”.
19) On Setup Menu, enter “0”, press ENTER key, and then close command prompt.
20) Enter “D:¥tools¥AssocDataFolder¥AssocDataFolder (.bat)” for “Start” > “Search programs and
files” column and then press “ENTER”.
21) Command prompt will be displayed.
22) “Press any key to continue…” will be displayed. Confirm that “PartitionDividedTool Successed.” is
displayed one line above, and then press an arbitrary key.
23) Eject the DVD from the DVD drive.

22. Installing Standard KIT (Lite)


1) Insert “DR-ID 300CL Standard KIT V10.0 CD (114Y2150003B12)” or “DR-ID 300CL Standard KIT
(Lite) V10.0 CD (114Y2150004B12)” into the DVD drive.
2) Click “Tap to choose what happens with this disk” message will be displayed on lower right of the
Desktop.
3) “Choose what to do with this disc.” Dialog box will be displayed. Click “Run Setup.bat”.
4) Setup Menu will be displayed. Enter “1” and press the “ENTER” key. (All)
5) “Press any key…” will be displayed. Press an arbitrary key to continue the program.
6) A confirmation dialog box will show “Completed”. Click “OK”. (more than once)
7) “Press any key to continue...” will be displayed. Press an arbitrary key.
8) On Setup Menu, enter “0”, press the “ENTER” key, and then close command prompt. (Quit)
9) Eject the CD from the DVD drive.

-> Perform “6. Verification of Standard Option Software Installation” in the annexed “DR-ID300CL V8.0 1
Product Inspection Procedure Guideline (600G2)”.

23. Installing ServicePack / HotFix
1) Insert “DR-ID300CL Application Software HF0001 (Base: V10.0)” CD (114Y2150816B00) into the
jig DVD drive.
2) “DVD RW Drive (D:)” window will be displayed. Double click “114Y2150816B00 (.zip)”.
3) “114Y2150816B00” folder will be displayed. Select the folder and copy it just under “C:¥”.
NOTE: This copy operation must be executed on Explorer.
* If you execute “Extract All…” from the right-click menu of the zip file, instead of copying on
Explorer, you will not be able to decompress the necessary files, and the installation will fail.
4) On Explorer, execute “Setup.bat” in “C:¥114Y2150816B00” folder.
5) Main Menu will be displayed. Enter “1” and press ENTER key. (Install Hotfix 0001 (Base: V10.0))
6) Once the installation has been completed, Main Menu will be displayed again. Enter “0” and press
“ENTER” key. (Quit)
7) Eject the CD from the jig DVD drive.
8) Click “<- Back” on “C:¥114Y2150816B00” window to return to “Local Disk (C:)”.
9) Select “114Y2150816B00” folder, and hold down “Shift” key and press “Delete” key.
10) “Delete Folder” dialog box will be displayed. Click “Yes”.
11) Close “Local Disk (C:)” window.

24. Activate Software Licence


1) Refer to “Appx IN: Installation – Appendix” > “Appendix 54 Software Licence” in the Service
Manual to activate.

25. Setting AutoPlay


1) Right click “Start” button and then select “Control Panel” from the menu shown.
2) “All Control Panel Item” window will be displayed. Click “AutoPlay”.
3) “AutoPlay” window will be displayed. Uncheck the checkbox for “Use AutoPlay for all media and
devices”.
4) Click “<- (Back to ~)” located in the upper left of “AutoPlay” window, and then return to “All
Control Panel Item” window.

After the power went off, perform “7. Checking Serial Port” and the rest of the operations described in
the annexed document, “DR-ID300CL V10.0 Product Inspection Procedure Guideline (600G2)”.

Appendix: If the purchased PC (with image development through HP Configuration & Deployment
Services) fails the setup or the backup media included with shipment is damaged on the installed PC, the
steps below must be followed to restore HP to factory default.

* “600G2/800G2 Win 10 EN Master Image Disk V1.0 (114Y2150311B00)” is only available to service
engineers. Handle it accordingly.
* Distributing “600G2/800G2 Win 10 EN Master Image Disk V1.0 (114Y2150311B00)” to end users
must not be allowed.

1. Win10 Image Recovery


1) Turn on the PC.
2) Press “F10” key as soon as “hp” is displayed in the center of the screen.
3) Insert “600G2/800G2 Win 10 EN Master Image Disk V1.0 (114Y2150311B00)” into the DVD drive
of the PC.
4) “Boot Options” screen will be displayed. Configure the setting as follows, and click “Exit”.
CD-ROM Boot: Check the checkbox
5) If “Save Changes?” screen will be displayed. Click “Yes”.
6) The PC will be restarted.
7) Press “F9” key as soon as “hp” is displayed in the center of the screen.
8) “Boot Menu” screen will be displayed. Select “UEFI – hp DVDRAM XXXXX” and press “Enter”
key.
9) “Press any key to boot from CD or DVD” will be displayed. Press an arbitrary key.
10) When “Custom image recovery” screen appears after a while, click “run”.
11) “Are you sure?” screen will be displayed. Click “run”.
12) When “The recovery process is completed.” screen appears after a while, eject the DVD from the
DVD drive.
13) Click “exit”.
14) PC will be shutdown.
