Audit Team’s Validation Report

On December 4, 2019, the Audit Team issued Notice of Suspension No. 19-020-
100(19)MP amounting to 65,000.00 for non-conformity of inspected desktop computer with
the approved specifications specified in the Program of Works (POW). It was recommended
that management require the contractor to replace the computer set to be compliant with the
approved specifications per POW.

The end-users, thru a letter dated January 3, 2020 explained that the deviation of the
specifications of the installed computer from what was required under the POW was due to
the processor specified in the POW being outmoded, hence, it was replaced with an advanced
model (Dual Core to Quad Core). The end-users explained that the computer received is of
equivalent specifications and partly upgraded. Further, the installed components accordingly
suit their needs of technical programs that became part in the performance of their works.

Ocular inspection conducted by the Audit Team on January 8, 2020 confirmed that the
installed computer is of equal capacity with what was required under the POW as shown
below:
