Unit 1: Having a balanced diet and eating balanced meals is the key to a healthy

life.
To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own
knowledge or experience.
Many people assume that having a balanced diet and eating balanced meals is the
key to a healthy life. I agree with them in part, but I have a few other opinions.
On the one hand, eating healthy and balanced can ensure that the body receives
enough nutrients that provide many benefits to the body. If you eat a healthy and
balanced diet, you may feel better. Your body will get all the nutrients it needs to
function properly to improve your energy levels. Avoiding sugary foods and drinks
can prevent high sugar levels and related diseases.
On the other hand, to lose weight, some people cut out starches, another do
intermittent fasting, or even completely eliminate protein foods. However,
according to experts, it is not advisable to cut calories too sharply in the beginning
because the nutritional balance in the familiar diet can cause some effects such as
making the body tired or feeling hungry quickly. Besides, a diet that is too strict
can often only be maintained for a few days, which is not good for mood and
health.
Moreover, eating balanced meals is essential, but it is not enough to have a good
health. Besides having a balanced diet, doing exercise can eliminate excess energy
which may cause many diseases. Experts advise that everyone should spend from
thirty minutes to one hour doing exercise everyday that will help to improve both
physical life and mental life.
To sum up, to have a healthy and prevent disease, you should combine a balanced
diet with regular exercise.
