THE IMPACT OF APPLYING PROFESSIONALISM AND PROPER WORK HABITS AT A WORKPLACE

-It is a wise move on the part of businesses to increase productivity while also demonstrating their
concern for their staff.

-Managers and coworkers should work with people who report to work every day, interact in positive
ways, take pride in their work and complete assignments on time. With extra effort, it is possible to
prove your value to colleagues and boss by showing respect for your hard work and efficiency.

PROFESSIONALISM

1. Consistency
- That means being there for every meeting on time, answering team emails in a timely
manner, and not making excuses when the going gets tough. Members of the team must be
consistent both practically and emotionally in their work.
2. Be a good role model.
- In conclusion, being or having a role model helps you find the right path in doing your work.
They also serve as an inspiration for people to do their best and that is when
competitiveness is born.
3. Focus on your objectives rather than paying attention to what is unnecessary.
- Having fun while at work is not strictly prohibited. However, there are limits in everything
and doing excessive/ unnecessary activities at work may lead to distraction and loss of focus
which may result in poor performance.
4. Respect for others.
- Respecting others is the most important aspect of being a professional. You should respect
other people not because it is required to do so. You do it because it’s in your nature.
5. Meet your deadlines.
- While deadlines help you submit your assignments in a timely manner, keep in mind that
quality should still be visible in the work you do. Deadlines test your ability to balance your
swiftness at doing your work with the way you execute an excellent performance. Your only
ally here is time management and self-discipline.
WORK HABITS

1. Make extra efforts in doing your job

- It is important to show that you are compassionate to your work. Making extra efforts can
help you access to much better outcomes. Promotions may not be guaranteed, but having
the ability to excel at your job is already rewarding.
2. Learn new skills for the betterment of your performance.
- Learning new skills that are relevant to your work may be convenient. It is one of the keys to
improving your performance and, even better, your confidence in delivering your job.
3. Always have a Plan B
- It’s only natural to become anxious. It helps us detect the incoming potential perils at work
and in general. Going to work with a backup plan for when something inconvenient occurs
will reduce your worries and could help you focus more on executing the assigned job in a
confident and a more professional way.

For example:

You were about to report in front of the boss and your co-workers. You’ve noticed that your
PowerPoint presentation was corrupted due to the improper way of turning off your
computer. But since you always see through events, and it happened that you predicted
that such a circumstance might happen, you decided to make a duplicate of your own
PowerPoint presentation beforehand. Your preparedness and response to an inconvenience
helped you overcome the conflict.
4. Be initiative.
- Improving your ability to show initiative in the workplace is as simple as looking at how you
work and asking yourself a few key questions, Do you make suggestions at meetings? Have
you asked for extra assignments? Have you tried to fix problems before taking them to your
supervisor, or have you started new assignments before you're told? Are you any good at
communicating openly with your supervisor?
5. Be Honest
- Everything can maintain harmony if honesty is present. This applies to every aspect of life.
