Arrival
We are kindly requested the foreign guests and participants of the Asian Armwrestling Championship
arriving at the Dubai city International Airport or at the Sharjah city Airport to inform in advance the organizing
committee of the exact arrival time and flight number of the team, as well as the number of participants to deliver
to the competitions venue.
Exact address of the participants and guests accommodation is hotel “Bahi Ajman Palace Hotel”, Ajman
city, Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi street box 7176.
The length of the way from the airport of Dubai city to the hotel – 20-30 km, travel time – 40-60 minutes.
The length of the way from the airport of Sharjah city to the hotel – 10-15 km, travel time – 20-30 minutes.
The approximate cost of a transfer from the Dubai Airport to the hotel is $50 per person, one way. From the
Airport of Sharjah city to the hotel is $40 per person, one way.
Representatives of the countries which of UAE has visa regime is kindly requested to send documents for
visa in advance.

Purpose and objectives

- armwrestling popularization and development on the Asian continent;
- raising the level of sportsmanship to world standards;
- attracting more member countries to the Asian Armwrestling Federation (AAF);

Place and dates of the competitions

Competitions will be held in Ajman city (UAE), Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi street box 7176,
from April 28 to May 3, 2023.

- Refereeing of the competitions is entrusted to the Main Refereeing Collegium by the AAF;

Requirements for participants of competitions and conditions of their admission

Competitions are held among the strongest athletes of the countries according to the rules of the WAF.
Participants are required not to use or incite others to use substances and methods that are recognized by the World
Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) as doping agents and are included in the list of prohibited substances and methods.
Doping test will be conducted at the competition.

 Accommodation
Accommodation of guests and participants of the competitions is held in the hotel “Bahi Ajman Palace
Hotel”. We offer you a wide choice of accommodation, from single, double and triple rooms to luxury rooms. The
prices from $180 to $280 per day, per person. The above price includes: transfer(two way), breakfast and dinner,
WiFi service (2-swimming pools, SPA center & fitness club).
Hotel «Ramada» 3-4*. We offer you a wide choice of accommodation, from single, double and triple
rooms to luxury rooms. The prices from $100 to $200 per day, per person. The above price includes: breakfast,
WiFi service. Please make hotel reservations 30 days before the start of the competition.

All teams are required to stay only in recommended hotels by the competition organizers (according
to the WAF & AAF rules). Otherwise, all participants who do not stay in the official hotels specified by the
organizers will not be allowed to participate in the competitions.
For an additional fee, the Organizing Committee offers a cultural program within the framework of
the Asian Championship: walks, excursions, safari, visiting museums, etc..

Teams that have paid for a Tour or accommodation before March 30th, will receive a discount from 3-5 %,
depending on quantity the person.

 Teams places
According the "WAF" rules, the team place is determined by the gold medals. The team’s places in the competitions
will be determined in four subgroups separately.
The first subgroup: seniors, men and women. The second subgroup: sub-juniors, juniors, and youth. The third
subgroup: the masters. The fourth subgroup: Para-armwrestling athletes.
The team's overall ranking includes all four subgroups.

Applications for participation

Advance applications and confirmations of participation, indicating the number of athletes, representatives, coaches
and referees are sent to the organizing committee of the competitions no later than April 10, 2023 before the start of the
competition to the address:
- for accommodation, meals, transfers, as well as all organizational issues – Valeriya: (WhatsApp: +7-777-745-5452).
The application for participation in the competitions is submitted to the mandate commission on the day of arrival. The
following documents are attached to the application for each athlete:
a) the athlete's passport (only a national passport confirming belonging to your country).
b) a medical certificate on the state of health with the data of the medical examination and examination of the doctor
who gives the permission to participate in the competitions, but not earlier than 7 days before it starts;
c) medical policy (life and health insurance against accidents) (original) for this competitions;
d) document of the start fee payment.

Awards ceremony
Participants of competitions (Masters men and women, sub-juniors, juniors, youth, seniors and Para-armwrestling),
who took prize (1, 2 and 3) places, are awarded with medals and diplomas of the corresponding degrees.
The teams of the countries that took the prize (1, 2 and 3) places, according to the results of the team competitions, are
awarded with cups and diplomas of the corresponding degrees.

Health and safety management

The Asian Championship is held in sports areas that meet the requirements and relevant regulations in force on the
territory of the UAE in compliance with all sanitary and epidemiological standards.
The competition will be held without audience and other outsiders. The number of athletes in the area where the
competitions will be held will not exceed 100 (one hundred) people at one time. The competitions will also be provided with
medical personnel.
Participants of the competitions must conclude (and bring it with them to the competition) a contract of voluntary
medical insurance of athletes and an accident insurance contract.

«AAF» requirements
All heads of delegation must have an audio recording of the national hymn (on a CD/USB stick), and 2 national flags
(1x2 meters).
The start fee for participation is $40 per hand among adults and $20 per hand among juniors and youth.
Para-armwrestling a starting fee is $40 per hand among adults and $20 per hand among youth .
Annual payment for the country $200.
According to the rules of (WAF & AAF), each athlete representing any country at this Asian
Championship must have with him and provide for registration the appropriate passport (citizenship) of the
country he represents. Residence permit is not accepted. Otherwise, the participant will not be admitted to this
event.
