Dat Le - Form 7G
Dat's target band is based on performance in their Key Stage 2 SATs for Reading and Mathematics. There
are 5 bands: Band 1 indicates that Dat performed in the lowest 20% of the cohort whilst Band 5 indicates
that they performed in the highest 20%.
The overall score is also banded in the same way based on Dat’s most recent assessment. This is their band
achieved in the assessment.
A statement is provided based on the band achieved in the assessment compared to the target band. A
student who performed in a lower band in their assessment to that of their target band would receive the
following statement:
Student is not making expected progress
Where a student performs in a higher band than their Target Band, they would receive the following
statement:
Student is exceeding expected progress
For each Academic Profile, teachers are asked three key questions relating to Respect, Excellence and
Responsibility for the students they teach. Teachers will select one of the following answers for each
question: not yet meeting expectations; meeting expectations; or exceeding expectations.
Excellence
To what extent does the student’s work show excellence? (Do they demonstrate fantastic effort, make a
positive contribution to the lesson and do they show creative and independent learning skills?)
Respect
To what extent is the student respectful to staff and students within lessons? (Do they show care and
kindness, have good manners and do they communicate appropriately?)
Responsibility
To what extent does the student take responsibility for their learning? (Do they show initiative in
organising themselves for learning? Do they reflect on behaviour and learning, taking positive steps for
improvement?)
Based on both their progress and effort (RRE) grades, students have been assigned one of the following
categories for each subject:
These give teachers a better understanding of the strategies required for each student to further their
learning.
