Q03. From a point P, 10 cm away from the centre of a circle, a tangent PT of length 8 cm is drawn.

Q04. Draw a circle with centre O. Draw diameter AB. Now draw tangents at the end points of diameter.
Are these parallel or intersecting? Justify your answer.  Ans. Parallel

of the circle.  Ans.3 cm
Q10. Prove that in two concentric circles, the chord of the bigger circle, which touches the smaller
circle, is bisected at the point of contact.
Q11. PQR circumscribes a circle of radius r such that Q  90 , PQ  3 cm and QR  4 cm .
Determine the radius r.  Ans.1 cm
Q12. Prove that the parallelogram circumscribing a circle is a rhombus.
OR
If all the sides of a parallelogram touch a circle, show that the parallelogram is a rhombus.
Q13. ABC is an isosceles triangle, in which AB  AC , circumscribed about a circle. Show that BC is
bisected at the point of contact.
Q14. In fig4, a circle is inscribed in a quadrilateral ABCD in which B  90 . If AD  23 cm ,
AB  29 cm and DC  5 cm , find the radius r of the circle.  Ans.11 cm

Q15. An isosceles triangle ABC is inscribed in a circle. If AB  AC  13 cm and BC  10 cm , find the

Q16. TP and TQ are tangents to a circle with centre O at P and Q respectively. PQ  8 cm and radius

the measure of angle PTQ is twice the measure of angle OPQ.

in fig5. If they are inclined to each other at 100 then what is the value of POQ ?  Ans.80

Q20. The incircle of triangle ABC touches the sides BC, CA and AB at D, E and F respectively. If
AB  AC , prove that BD  CD . Consider fig6.

Q21. A circle touches all the four sides of a quadrilateral ABCD with AB  6 cm , BC  7 cm and
