REFLECTION:
In an almost 2 months and 2 weeks of discussion this 3rd quarter on the subject Statistics
& Probability, the class tackled a total of 6 module topics that was divided into 13 different
lessons. On the first weeks of discussions we have learned the introduction to the said subject,
definitions and descriptions of the subject itself and the basic elements of it such as the fields of
it, the classifications of variables, and level of measurement of numerical data. We have then
proceeded to basics of probability, we have learned the proper construction of probability
distribution. The next topic proceeded to a more detailed discussion from the previous topic, the
3rd topic introduced was a continuation of the 2nd but was mainly focused on the probability
distribution of discrete type of data. The discussion has then proceeded to the topic “Normal
Distribution” wherein the bell curve, and z-table was introduced that has further expanded our
knowledge regarding the subject. The 5th topic was also a continuation of the 3rd topic, this topic
was more of an expansion of knowledge of the previous topics discussed, the probability
distribution was further expanded to sample distributions. Lastly, the 6th topic was more of an
application of the previous topics. These are all the topics discussed on the 3rd quarter on this
subject, my overall impression of this subject so far is it involves numerous formulas and
requires a lot of computations to get the answer but is not as hard as our other Math subjects like
Basic Calculus, Pre-Calculus & Trigonometry.
