Scrum is an updated theory for any type of project, suited to our time and age.

Since
people are working from home these says, it is important that Scrum be introduced to them
now. It would make them understand the importance of the different Scrum Principles which is
fundamental for any type of work.
Empirical Process control is a principle which relies in three ideas such as transparency,
adaptation, and inspection. It is the principle that means everyone in the organization should
be involved in the transparent flow of information that creates an open work culture. The
adaptation takes place when transparency and inspection are learned and then people adapt by
making improvements in the work they do. Transparency also builds trust unknowingly, being
contented that information are open to everyone, and that no one doubts your loyalty to
everyone and the company.
Self-organization is also a principle very timely today. People are more sensitive because
of the different situations they have. Putting a little trust that they can organize their selves and
reassuring them that they have more to offer than their technical expertise is a great way for an
organization. Workers being creative and mindful of their job, usually don’t need a command-
and-control style of leadership.
Collaboration is a must especially for group tasks and assignment. It is the principle
where workers divide work into units, and diving these units among team members. Collocation
also takes a great part on collaboration. It is almost always easy to work together in one place,
but because of the situation, everyone is forced to work separately. But it is not a problem
nowadays since video conferencing, chats, email, and many more are available to connect with
co-workers.
Value-based prioritization is a principle that aims at delivering valuable product or
service on an early and continuous basis, like being driven by the goal of delivering maximum
business value in a minimum time span.
Time-boxing principle is where certain amount of time is allotted for each process and
activity in a project. People have to make sure that don’t self-assign too much or too little work
for a particular period of time. Having fixed time on specific things that they have to do is an
essential part to doing the jobs done efficiently.
Iterative development is a principle that is more flexible in ensuring that any change
requested by the customer can be included as part of the project. It is not like someone is
saying that committing too much mistakes is acceptable, it is that changes are welcome to
every project if it is for the betterment of the work for the satisfaction of the customers.
The emphasis of Scrum is on the people. It is because the people are the key to a
project. The value of the customer is first in Scrum since it is designed for customer
involvement. Scrum is an innovative framework for managing any type of project which is ready
to replace techniques from a bygone era.
