1. In your opinion, what is the most important contribution of mathematics to the
development of human civilization? Explain your answer.

• Mathematics is MORE THAN NUMBERS AND SOLVING EQUATIONS; for me, it is an

instrument for us to have a better quality of life and expand our knowledge. It plays a
unique function in the advancement of humanity. The existence of mathematics in the
current generation of modern technology makes it more useful for the innovation of
anything. Calculations, inferences, and hypotheses concerning such factors lead to good
and well-considered decisions that lead to satisfaction. As for our generation, we
consider ourselves fortunate to live in a modernized world that is progressing thanks to
science and the existence of mathematics.

2. Describe an object or phenomenon that came about because of mathematics.

Explain the underlying mathematics behind this object, and state which purpose of
mathematics applies to your chosen object.

• Mathematics is an important aspect of scientific research. Science and mathematics are

inseparable. Conducting studies or research aids in the knowledge of a phenomenon,
and the use of mathematics is required. For research to be analyzed and resolved, it
requires full critical thinking as well as mathematical processes. It also provides a clear
perspective on studies on how that specific topic is resolved. Given all of this,
mathematics is vital for organizing. A mathematical approach will be applied to the data
obtained in a research or study in order for it to be well-organized and have brief
findings.
