According to Galuh Prawitasari, 2018, Based on the social profession theory, the goal of

this study is to examine how generation affect career choices(SCCT). Our literature reviews have
led us to the conclusion that a person’s profession choice would be closely tied to the key traits
and values of his generations. Baby boomers tend to choose occupation that offer prestige,
facilities, and positions, while people from the traditional generation tend to choose careers that
offer strong loyalty as their personal achievement. The X generation attributes their success to
freedom and striking a balance between work and family life. The Y generation, sometimes
known as digital natives, favors occupation that allow them to exercise their creativity and
flexibility.

According to Katherine lee hughes, Melinda jane mechur karp t To enhanced support them,
the no child left behind act of 2001 places a strong emphasis on evidence-based education, thus
it’s critical to look at the research to access the efficacy of these initiatives. The benefits of career
guidance and academic counseling intervention found in great abundance in this synthesis of the
research literature, which includes meta-analysis and individual studies on comprehensive
guidance programs, career courses, counseling intervention, and computer-assisted career
guidance. Students subject did improve performance on range of academic and career related
metrics. How ever, both therapies and the research techniques have their limitations.

According to Nancy T .Pascual, 2014 ,THE Nation’s high unemployment rate is frequently
attributed to the man power shortage and the unfit graduates that institutions and college
produce .Most High school students chose the wrong course, which raises the rate of
underemployment and unemployment among recent graduates. This helped the study identify
the variables influencing the fourth- year high school students, academic achievement, grades in
their elective courses, the results of the Brainard occupational preference inventory(BOFI), and
the link between the variables influencing students course preference and occupational
preference were al taken into account. As statistical treatments, frequency, percentage, and chi-
square were employed. The findings indicate that students primary factors in selecting a college
course is their capacity to get employed after graduation. Other variables including the mother’s
job, the monthly family income, the position of the students siblings, and the third year general
average grades have no bearing on the students choice of college course on their BOPI scores.
BOPI results and students grades in elective course are substantially correlated.
