1.What is community service?

-Community service is unpaid work performed by a person or group of people for the benefit and
betterment of their community without any form of compensation. Community service can be distinct
from volunteering, since it is not always performed on a voluntary basis and may be compulsory.

2.Explain and identify the pros and cons of community service.

-Pros: Opportunities may be more interesting, fulfilling and inspiring than paid work. This is an
important benefit for teens with attention issues. Cons: The emotional payoff of volunteering may be
too abstract for some teens to appreciate.

3. Who can participate in community service?

-Community service can help any group of people in need: children, senior citizens, people with
disabilities, English language learners, and more. It can also help animals, such as those at a shelter, and
it can be used to improve places, such as a local park, historic building, or scenic area as well.

4. What are examples of community service?

-Volunteer with local organizations, Participate in trash cleanup, Make hygiene, first-aid and food kits
for participating in program of the community.

5. What are some ineligible community service activities?

-Community involvement is meaningful, consistent participation in activities that support and improve
upon social wellbeing. Community involvement examples include engaging with, volunteering for or
donating to local schools, neighborhood associations, government, and/or nonprofit organizations

6. What is the significance of community service?

-Giving back and assisting others is the basis of community service or volunteering. Thus, it Teaches us
how significant it is to help the ones in need, the ones who are less fortunate than us. The importance of
community service lies in the fact that it connects us to the community by Improving it, and making it a
better place for all of us to live in.
