1. Define Research.

- Defined as the creation of new knowledge or the use of existing knowledge in a new
and creative way so as to generate new concepts, methodologies and understandings. And it is
the systematic investigation into and study of materials and sources in order to establish facts
and reach new conclusion or it is a careful and detailed study into a specific problem, concern or
issue using the scientific method.

2. What is Problem Statement?

- Through Problem Statement it captures the existing knowledge gap that your study
aims to bridge using reliable results or outcomes. It is usually one or two sentences to explain
the problem your process improvement project will address and it will outline the negative points
of the current situation and explain why this matters.

3. How to create a Good Problem Statement?

- First write down the problem in your research. And expand the problem by using who,
what, where, when, why and how questions. The re-write your problem statement based on
those answer.

4. Define Objective.

- It is something you plan to do or to achieve. So in research, objective concisely what


the research is trying to achieve. It summarize the accomplishments of a researcher wishes to
achieve through the project and provides direction of the study.

5. What is the importance of review related literature and studies?

- The importance of RRL is to obtain an overview of the current knowledge on the topic.
And purpose of RRL is to gain and understanding of the existing research and relevant to a
particular topic or area of study and to present that knowledge in the form of a written report.
