INDIVIDUAL ACTIVITY 2

➢ 1.The nineteen years old boy. He is a high school boy from an upper-class school in
Tokyo. His physical status was affected by his experienced in depression and being
loneliness. His status in economic was good because he gives a so much money to the
women.

➢ The nineteen years old boy his reason for travelling in the Izu peninsula was attempting
to escape the felling’s of loneliness and depression. I had come at nineteen to think of
myself as a misanthrope, a lonely misfit, and it was my depression at the thought, that
had driven me to this Izu trip.

➢ His feelings for Kauro were first infatuated at first, he feels an indefinite erotic attraction
to her. But when he sees her in a nude in a public bath, he realizes that she is still a child
still pure and innocent. This changes his feelings for her to a loving brother like a
protector. It was the little dancer I looked at her at young legs, at the sculptured white
body, and suddenly a draught of fresh water seems to wash over my heart. I laughed
happily; she was a child friend. I laughed on a soft happy laugh. it was though a layer of
dust had been cleared from my head. It was because she was dressed like a girl of
fifteen or sixteen. I Had made extraordinary mistake indeed.

➢ His feelings for Eikichi were a verry good friends. The man and I became firms’ friends. I
came to see that the life of the traveling performer was not the forbidding one I had
imagined. Rather it was easy going, relaxed, carrying with it the scent of meadows and
mountains. The too this trope was should held together to by close family. At that point
he was accepted as apart of family and he felt grateful as if the loneliness he felt was
evaporating

➢ In the story progressed before his travels all he did was study and nothing fun and
more. But after his travel the view of her life changed became colorful and something
that have a meaning.

2.His relationship with the family of Eikichi was all warm in the first interaction. They all talked to

him in a comfortably manner. They give what the boy what is and what the boy needed.

3.In the first part of the story he describes kaoru as ones of the ancient beauties you see in
pictures with their exaggerated rolls of her hair. He saw her as someone who was seductive. But
a part of the story where he saw naked. He taught to himself that she was a child, a mere child,
a child friend. As a story goes on kaoru became closer to the boy as she shyly asked him to read
her a piece from a storyteller’s collection and the kauro asked if the boy would take him to the
movie and kauro felt attached to as the story goes on
