Paragraph 1.
We are a beautiful family from Barranquilla- Colombia we made the decision to
move to Chicago - United States in search of a better quality of life. We will tell you
a little about our experience in this new city and the learning of a new language.
We arrived at this new capital at the end of December and what caught our
attention when we arrived was the weather, since Chicago was in winter and it is
very nice to rest a little of the heat and enjoy low temperature of -3 ° approximately
very cold for us. Being in the new city implies challenges such as adapting to a
new routine since we don't know anyone, my father goes out every day to look for
a job and a new school for me, while my mother and me; We hope at home doing
home tasks. In the afternoon we met for dinner together and watch television a bit,
sometimes I turn to exits in the afternoon in search of new friends. On weekends
we spend time together we go to the park, we play together, we are a big family.
Paragraph 2.
Last month we organized various activities and toured Chicago tourist sites. One
weekend we took the ghost tour visiting a famous haunted hotel called Hotel house
and we explored some historical places related to Al Capone where I felt scared
and a bit scared to see those clandestine tunnels.
We enjoyed a spectacular festival of colors at the Morton Arboretum where the
trees there lit up. My father, my mother and I were stunned by such a beautiful
festival. We had the opportunity to appreciate the New Year's fireworks from the
Navy pier where from the shore of the pier. we enjoyed Christmas activities in
Chicago.
Paragraph 3.
I miss my family a lot, my Grandparents mainly "one fine day, daughter, if you want
to eat, give you an ice cream" comforts anyone, I know they also miss me and love
me very much, I talk to them every day, with my cousins and with my best friend. I
also miss my neighborhood of Barranquilla, my city, my people.
Living in Chicago you learn to be independent, you get to know many cultures,
places that make my stay more pleasant and happy. You know places like the
Millennium Park Ice Rink, the Lincoln Park Zoo, and the CTA Holiday Train, among
others, amusement parks, and great people.
In conclusion, I can say that both Barranquilla and Chicago each have their space,
their cultures, their gastronomy, tourist places that make them attractive to all
tourists in general.
