GROUP WRITTEN REPORT

Our group theme is “Technology”. We were interested in researching this theme due to

the reliance on technology in different aspects of our life. Each group member investigated a

different topic and these include “The Impact of Technology on Education”, “The Impact of

Technology on Sports”, “The Impact of Technology on Agriculture” and “The Impact of

Technology on Crime Fighting”. We gathered our data from a mixture of articles and videos we

sourced online.

We were placed in groups of four based on our common interest in the theme

‘technology’, and were instructed to formulate our individual topic. We conducted meetings

through WhatsApp and through physical interactions during our lunch sessions. All group

members played different roles. Tishawny typed the information for the group, Bryan created

the platform for group meetings and organized the group, Kamal read each member’s work to

ensure grammatical correctness, while Krista shared advice and different perspectives of the

theme with other members. After accumulating all the artifacts from each member, we probed

through them, thereby selecting the three most impactful ones.

We learnt about various aspects of technology from each topic. For instance, “Clever

technology that’s helping solve crime” states that through the advancement of technology, cases

are solved at faster rates. Secondly, “Impacts of technology on Education” taught us the

advantages technology has on education. Thirdly, “Impact of Technology on Agriculture and

Food Production” highlighted that technology increases the rate of food production.

Overall, we also learnt from the individual topics that technology allows people to access

information online and learn virtually, helps to make accurate decisions in sports, increases the
efficiency of agriculture and solves cases at faster rates. By pursuing this research, our

communication skills with others also improved, which helped us to become better students.
