ILLECOM TikTok Warm-up Strategy

Intro

You may encounter poor metrics when you begin to advertise on a fresh TikTok ad account.
This is the outcome of a recent update that TikTok put into place.
Try warming up the account first to avoid this.
There are numerous ways to address this, but here is what I advise.

Set up a process

Basically, you want to give TikTok permission to spend money on your campaigns in order to
earn a higher approval rating.
Practically every component of your business, including your creative (ctr), landing page, and
product, is important for your approval rating, but making it spend money often helps

Begin with a $50 CBO (wide targeting, 18-55+, least expensive, 4 ad groups, and numerous
creatives combined in each ad group).
Give it at least a full day to spend.
If metrics are bad, that is to be expected.
You could attempt an ATC or VC campaign instead if it doesn't start spending, but I suggest just
leaving it on for a couple of days at most to get it going.

You can switch to managing an ABO campaign once the first day of campaign spending is
complete. We take this action to raise the account's approval rating. In order to do this, we want
to run a large number of ad groups on a modest budget.I advise starting with as many $20 ad
groups as your budget will allow. As the most of you are well aware, when we start to drastically
increase the budgets on TikTok, they become tighter, and you may wind up having your ads
rejected.

Because of this, we wish to increase the horizontal scaling (instead of just increasing the
budget).

The likelihood of the low-budget advertising campaigns being rejected is low.

So feel free to replicate the successful ad groups, potentially raise the budget to a maximum of
$50 per ad group, and disable the underperforming ones.
