Persuasive Essay
Schools should not force students to do mandatory volunteering.

Have you heard about mandatory volunteering? Do you agree with that? In my opinion I
disagree, that is a bad idea. I think that students are free to choose whether they want to do
volunteering or not. Volunteering should not be mandatory because it should be their decision if
they want to do volunteering and because the students need to be focused on their studies.

The first reason is that students are free to make their own decisions, it is not good to force doing
something if someone does not want to do it. If you force a student to do something, they will
have less desire to do it, and they will not be satisfied doing it. Knowing that volunteering will be
required to graduate from school, many students will not want to do it. If that were not
mandatory, you could volunteer with friends or participate in interesting volunteering, without
the need for it to be an obligation. Volunteering as the name implies, must be voluntary. It should
not be an obligation, on the contrary, it should be a decision. Finally, we are all free to make
decisions, when something is mandatory, it is difficult to do it with desire.

Students need to be focused on their studies to get into a university or to plan for their future but
volunteering mandatory will distract them from their studies. To graduate, students need to get
good grades, because that is mandatory. It will also give them opportunities in universities or to
obtain a scholarship. For many students, studies are difficult and including mandatory
volunteering will be a very bad idea, it will not help them manage their time for studies. At
school, students should focus on studies, after graduation they can do volunteering if they decide.
Finally, in school it is very important that students stay focused on their studies and not get
distracted by other things that can affect their performance in school.

Some people think that volunteering can help students gain experience and knowledge. Although
volunteering helps to gain experience, that experience can be obtained in many ways after
finishing school. And speaking of knowledge, you can gain knowledge from many experiences
that you have in your life. Also, with courses and workshops in schools you can gain experience
and knowledge. In short, there are many ways to gain experience and knowledge, volunteering is
not the only option.
In conclusion, students should not be forced to volunteer, it should be a decision that they must
take. Also, they must be very focused on their studies to graduate from school.
