Abstract. Due to the high penetration of renewable energies, several countries
around the world are adopting new challenges to manage the sharing of electricity produced by resources that depend on external factors. Energy Management Systems (EMS) are used to optimize the use of energy resources in micro grids to facilitate the insertion of renewable energy and to satisfy demand at minimum cost. The main objective is to minimize demand profile fluctuations, to maximize the use of renewable energy and the exchange of energy with the grid. In this paper, our interest has been focused on a fuzzy logic energy management system (Fuzzy Logic- EMS) applied to the grid-connected micro grid. A micro-grid model has been implemented, which combines distributed energy sources: photovoltaic system, wind turbine, battery energy storage system and a V2G-equipped EV park and dynamic load. Different scenarios have been developed to see the behavior of the management system during a day, including weather scenarios, the random profile of the EVs, the load and the price of electricity variation. The simulation results presented in this paper show the performance of the proposed energy management strategy and demonstrate the validity of this strategy and its ability to distribute energy among different sources and loads.
