Jenny Kowalski was thinking about Ruth Humble again.

Ruth was a brave animal with

feathery elbows and beautiful legs.

Jenny walked over to the window and reflected on her quiet surroundings. She had
always loved sunny Camborne with its magnificent, muddy mountains. It was a place
that encouraged her tendency to feel sleepy.

Then she saw something in the distance, or rather someone. It was the a brave
figure of Ruth Humble.

Jenny gulped. She glanced at her own reflection. She was a clumsy, wild, squash
drinker with sticky elbows and tall legs. Her friends saw her as a determined,
dirty do gooder. Once, she had even jumped into a river and saved a lonely disabled
person.

But not even a clumsy person who had once jumped into a river and saved a lonely

The sun shone like skipping rats, making Jenny healthy. Jenny grabbed a damp record
that had been strewn nearby; she massaged it with her fingers.

As Jenny stepped outside and Ruth came closer, she could see the late glint in her
eye.

"I am here because I want a kiss," Ruth bellowed, in an energetic tone. She slammed
her fist against Jenny's chest, with the force of 9950 toads. "I frigging love you,
Jenny Kowalski."

Jenny looked back, even more healthy and still fingering the damp record. "Ruth,
what a spiffing dress," she replied.

They looked at each other with sparkly feelings, like two rabblesnatching, ripe
rabbits singing at a very virtuous bar mitzvah, which had indie music playing in
the background and two malicious uncles cooking to the beat.

Jenny studied Ruth's feathery elbows and beautiful legs. Eventually, she took a
deep breath. "I'm sorry, but I can't give you a kiss," she explained, in pitying
tones.

Ruth looked barmy, her body raw like a narrow, naughty newspaper.

Jenny could actually hear Ruth's body shatter into 9766 pieces. Then the brave
animal hurried away into the distance.

Not even a beaker of squash would calm Jenny's nerves tonight.
