I am targeting discrimination from society on
people from the LGBTQ+ community. I know
that people do experience discrimination and
teasing when they come out of the closet. For
example, when I came out, people I thought
were friends teased me about liking them
simply because I was attracted to the same
sex.
Timothy Rubel is going to help with the
project by being our book. We already have
some community partners including me,
Ozziel, and Timothy. The LGBTQ+ people will
be assisted by allowing and helping people
who are not a part of the community
understand them better.
The goal of the project is to help people
understand members of the LGBTQ+
community. The significance is to allow
people to see ways that the LGBTQ+
community struggles in ways that they never
thought of as an outsider.
Some solution efforts are to be kinder to
people of the LGBTQ+ community and to try
and educate yourself. The tools you need are
an open mind, kind heart, and a will to want to
learn.
.Our timeline is the same or at least similar to
the timeline that the professor so kindly gave
to us. Some of the steps include finding
different peer reviewed articles to educate
ourselves more, finding a book, and
establishing a good relationship with the book
in order to meet any needs they may have.
Some barriers we may face include people
being ignorant and not wanting to learn.
