BREAK-6min: Think/Write

 During this break time, please write

 What does the metaphor tell you about your own personal “Why”?
 In other words:  What is the passion that underlies your work?
 WHY do you teach/ advocate/ program build in the ways that you do? What is your
bottom line—the thing that, if pushed, you really won’t compromise on? What drives
you?
Sharing, Connecting, and Identifying

 Share your reflections on your personal “WHY” with your group

 Connect: How could we weave together our "whys" as we launch our taskforce work?

Text Talk- “Is real change possible”

 Take 3 min to review the text. Please highlight, underline or make note of anything
that resonates with you. We will be doing a group discussion.
Is Real Change Possible?

 In this piece Klein examines the reasons that organizational change efforts
so often fail. He argues that real change occurs when leaders take an
“integral approach.” Reflect upon the following questions, in writing if
possible:
 What does he mean by an “integral approach?”
 Can you think of any examples from your institution that align with and/or push
back on Klein’s framework?
 How might Klein’s framework help you plan your current taskforce work?
Next steps …

 Reflection video: We would like for you to make a quick video reflecting on
the following questions:
o Think about at a time when a project, plan, program, etc. went well on your
campus?
o Why do you think it was so successful? What made it special?
o Do you see evidence of the 4- quadrants?
 You will then upload it to the Canvas Course before our next session on
July 2, 2020.
