READING PROJECT INSTRUCTIONS
PROJECT MISION
Dear students,
Last year, there were some classroom cases in grades 6-9. The cases impacted the
student and school community in general. Below is a sample of problems that occurred in
grade 6-9.
1. Students regularly miss deadlines for assignments and projects.
2. Students are not being truthful.
3. Students form a social network and exclude some of their friends.
4. Students bully others by saying hurtful sentences on social media.

We believe that some students’ ability to discipline themselves will shape the school
community. Since we just started this academic year, I wonder how you can help us to
overcome and anticipate those problems. You may select one or two problems,
propose a set of solutions and share with other classes.

RELIABLE
RESOURCES
FIND POSSIBLE SOLUTION
A reliable source is one that provides
a thorough, well-reasoned theory,
argument, discussion, etc. based on
strong evidence.
Scholarly, peer-reviewed articles or books -written by
researchers for students and researchers.

FIND POSSIBLE
SOLUTION BY
DOING INTERVIEW
CONDUCTING RESEARCH INTERVIEW
Research Interview is a technique that involves
individual interviews with a small number of
respondents to explore their perspectives on a
particular idea, program, or situation.
For example, we might ask participants, staff, and
others associated with a program about their
experiences and expectations related to the
program, the thoughts they have concerning
program operations, processes, and outcomes, and
about any changes they perceive in themselves as a
result of their involvement in the program.
STEPS OF DOING
RESEARCH
INTERVIEW
CONDUCTING RESEARCH INTERVIEW
1. Who will be involved?
2. Identify what information is needed and from
whom
3. Lists the questions or issues to be explored
during the interview, There should be no more
than 15 main questions to guide the interview.
4. Collect Data
5. Analyze Data
6. Present the Data in form of Graph
7. Conclusion and Recommendations
Interview Etiquette
CONDUCTING RESEARCH INTERVIEW
Introduction Key Components:
• Thank you
• Your name
• Purpose
• Confidentiality
• Duration
• How the interview will be conducted
• Opportunity for questions
• Signature of consent
Example :
I want to thank you for taking the time to meet with me today.
My name is ____________________________ and I would like to talk to you about _____.
Specifically, _____.
The interview should take less than 20 minutes.
I will record the session because I don’t want to miss any of your comments.
All responses will be kept confidential. This means that your
interview responses will only be shared with research team
members and we will ensure that any information we include in
our report does not identify you as the respondent.

Are there any questions about what I have just explained?

Are you willing to participate in this interview?
NOW LIST DOWN
ALL POSSIBLE
SOLUTIONS THAT
YOU HAVE FIND
SELECT POSSIBLE SOLUTION
Before looking for solutions to a problem it is important to
decide what will constitute an effective solution.
This involves compiling a detailed list of the characteristics of
what you want to achieve and of the factors which must be
taken into account in achieving that objective, ie an 'ideal'
solution. These criteria of effectiveness give direction to your
search for solutions, telling you whether you are on the right
track, and will help you later to measure the relative
effectiveness of your solutions.
Reasoning
out why you
choose the
solution/ THE POSSIBLE SOLUTION IS BECAUSE

Test the
solution.
