Dare-2-Innovate Season 2: Your Gateway

to KAVACH -2023
Department of Student Research and Projects under the aegis of Student Welfare Wing presents
Dare-2-Innovate: Your Gateway to Smart KAVACH-2023. ‘KAVACH-2023’ a unique
national Hackathon to identify innovative concepts and technology solutions for addressing the
security challenges of the 21st century faced by our intelligence agencies. This hackathon has
20 Problem statements related to the cyber security domain against which the innovative minds
will be able to submit their ideas and compete against each other. Working toward empowering
these imperative notions of our society, MoE's Innovation Cell, AICTE along with Bureau of
Police Research and Development (BPR&D)(MHA) and Indian Cybercrime Coordination
Centre (I4C)(MHA) have launched ‘KAVACH-2023’

Competing Rounds:

 Round 1: For Round 1 submit a proposal on the registration link with prescribed format
as attached.

 Round 2: The selected Ideas of Round 1 will compete in 36hrs hackathon where they will
prepare/execute their proposed solution.

Guidelines for Registration


1. All team members should be from same college; no inter-college teams are allowed.
However, members from different branches of the same college/ institute are
encouraged to form a team.
2. Each team would mandatorily comprise of 6 members including the team leader. .
3. Each team must have AT LEAST ONE FEMALE TEAM MEMBER.
4. As this edition of the hackathon is digital product development competition, majority
of the team members MUST be well versed with programming skills.

6. Select the category and Problem statement at the given link:

7. The problem statement and code must be from the problem statement provided in the
attached link.
8. The team name should be unique and MUST NOT contain the name of your institute
in any form.
9. A team can make multiple idea submissions for different problem statements under
the same team name
10. Team members CANNOT be associated with multiple teams in parallel!
11. Idea submission must be made by the Team Leader only.
12. Submission dates should be strictly followed. No exceptions will be made.
13. Only those teams that are authenticated by College SPOCs are allowed to make idea
submission.

Round 2 will be an Offline Competition, the registered teams must be present in Campus to
attend Round 2
Selection criteria

1. Evaluation criteria will include novelty of the idea, complexity, clarity and details in the
prescribed format, feasibility, practicability, sustainability, scale of impact, user experience
and potential for future work progression.
2. If a team is selected for the final Hackathon, members will need to travel to the assigned
center which can be anywhere in India.
3. Teams are also encouraged to think out-of-the-box and provide creative solutions to
themes under ‘Students’ Innovation’ category.
