Understanding the Text

1. His mother is sick and only the petals from a red rose can heal her. He is going to a
dance and he thinks that he will get noticed if he wears a red rose.
2. The nightingale was an ardent priest of true love. She understood the way it affects those
who are deprived of it. She didn't want to see the young Student devastated for not being
able to dance with his sweetheart. So, she went out of her way to get a rare red rose at the
cost of her life.
3. Because it was winter season so no tree produced a red rose.
4. The Nightingale wants to shed blood for the student because the Nightingale loves this
student so much that she is willing to sacrifice and die for the happiness of the student.
5. According to the student, the Nightingale is a bird that may not have feelings, the
nightingale is just like an artist who has a good voice but has no feelings and may not
even understand what sacrifice means.
6. When the student threw the rose into the street in his garden, he felt as if there was luck
for him. He felt so happy that he cried.
7. The student threw the rose into the street, where it feel into the gutter, and cart wheel
went over it.
8. The red rose was thrown on the steet and then just broke.

1. The Nightingale knows that Love is greater than Life.
2. Logic is better than emotion. The more you can think critically and objectively about a
decision before you make it, the more likely the decision will be the best for you. The
less you are drive only by emotion and instinct, the fewer impulsive or irrational
decisions you should make.
3. The author shows more sympathy to Nightingale.
4. The world is full of people who know much and understand little.
