COBRA HIPLEX EP-2

DESCRIPTION COBRA HIPLEX EP-2 is high temperature lubricating greases formulated

with lithium complex thickener and premium quality petroleum base oils.
These special thickeners provide excellent work-shear stability, resisting
both softening and hardening of the grease during use. The lithium complex
thickener further provides for a high dropping point, which resists melting
and leakage from bearing operating at elevated temperatures. COBRA
HIPLEX EP-2 offers good resistance to washout by water, making it suitable
for use in wet application. This grease is fortified with rust and corrosion
inhibitors for optimum protection. Wear is reduced through the use of
LITHIUM COMPLEX GREASES due to the presence of effective extreme
pressure and anti-wear agents.

APPLICATIONS COBRA HIPLEX EP-2 is recommended for industrial applications where

high temperature, extreme pressure and water resistant greases are
required. Typical applications include bearing, couplings and gears in
extended use and heavy-duty service. COBRA HIPLEX EP-2 may be used
with complete confidence at continuous operating temperatures up to 190
o
C, with intermittent use up to 230 oC. This grease also ideally suited for
wheel bearing usage in vehicles equipped with conventional brakes, as well
as with disc brakes, where the heat would cause conventional lithium grease
to run out.
COBRA HIPLEX EP-2 can also be used to grease electric motor bearings,
hoist bearings and gears, plastic injection molding machines, paper
machines, grinders and machine tools, concrete mixing machinery, pumps,
centrifuges, crushers, blow molding equipment, printing presses, shovels,
textile machinery and other applications requiring extreme pressure greases.
