1.

What types of temperatures would astronauts have to contend with while

building the space station? How where spacesuits designed to deal with
temperature variations?

Astronauts in space are at 150 degrees below zero more or less, so the spacesuits are designed
to increase body temperature, like that the astronauts can be in space without freezing.

2. How big would the space station be? How would the astronauts move across
the space station?

The station is about 40 million gallons long and to move they must jump, as we see in the
movies, this is because the station has neutral buoyancy.

3. How do they account for astronaut safety while they are working on the space
shuttle?

They have a lot of security measures and restrictions, also the have a special space life jacket
that is used to stay near the spaceship.

4. How did the astronauts test their suits and equipment in zero-gravity
conditions?

They have a zone of about 6.5 million of gallons where they do tests and practice for the
montage of the space stations.

5. What types of tasks will they use robots for on the space station?

The robots will be used to make montage, like the chassis, that is the structure of the space
station. They use robots to do things that humans can’t do.

6. What will the space station be used for?

It’s used for lot of things, like do investigations or researching things. Are used to do things
that are impossible to do in the earth.

1. How do astronauts sleep in zero gravity? Where are the sleep stations located?

They sleep in cabins located in the middle of the station, usually there are 4 cabins. They sleep
standing up and in sleeping bags inside the cabin.
2. How have the spacesuits changed since first designed in 1997?

Now spacesuits have computers in it, with them you can regulate their temperature and, they
can also monitor oxygen and carbon dioxide levels.

3. What continent was the space station viewing? How did Sunny know this?

Sunny could identify it because of the clouds and the ground that she saw, she discovers that
in that moment they were over Africa.

4. How do spacecraft attach to the space station?

The spacecraft attach to the space station with the probe docking interface which allows to
join several space stations.

5. Do you think Sunny should have put her hair in a ponytail? Why or why not?

No because if she put her hair in a ponytail her hair will stand out and this is not good for her.
