Ethics@Capgemini 2023 – FAQs

Ask Adam, AI-driven enterprise virtual agent, is now able to answer your questions about our Values and
our ethical culture, making it easy to gain quick access to these key topics.

1. What is the Ethics@Capgemini training and what topics does it cover?

Revamped in January 2021, the Ethics@Capgemini training (formerly Code of Business Ethics)
has been launched by the Group to support its commitment to maintain an ethical culture. This
has been designed in a way that every employee can learn everything they need to know about
Ethics within the Group.

In January 2023 reassignment, the training is divided into a core module on our Values and
Ethics and 4 modules that cover key ethical topics. You have 45 days from the date of
assignment, to complete all the modules in this training.

The core Values and Ethics module is introduced by a video from our Group CEO, Aiman Ezzat,
and will help you revise your understanding of:

• Our Seven Values


• Our Ethical Principles

The sub modules deal with specific Ethics topics, namely:

• Honoring Human Rights


• Harassment-free work environment
• Understanding Conflict of Interest
• Speaking Up and Non-Retaliation

PS: The training topics will evolve over a period of time as we continuously focus on improving
the trainings based on learner needs.

2. How often am I expected to do the ethics trainings?

Ethics@Capgemini training is mandatory for every employee, tenured or new, and will have to
be taken once a year (annually). You will be assigned the trainings at the beginning of the
calendar year, and you have 45 days to complete the trainings.

3. Where can I access Ethics@Capgemini 2023 trainings?

Ethics@Capgemini is accessible via NEXT pathway. The training is divided into a core module
and four sub modules.
To complete the training, you will have to complete all the modules listed in the NEXT pathway
that are due for you, by reviewing the status.

As a reference, please check the screenshot below: If the status against the module shows a
green tick mark, that module is completed, and the rest are due to be completed. From the
below, the employee has completed 2 modules and is yet to complete 3 modules.

4. How can I provide feedback for improving the training content?

For any questions or feedback on Ethics@Capgemini training content please feel free to drop
an email to our Ethics & Compliance officer (Know your ECO here) or write to Group Ethics
team at ethics@capgemini.com.
5. I am facing technical issues while completing the training? Who can help?

If you are facing any access or other technical issues in the training you can reach out to
university@capgemini.com.

6. What is covered under “Ethics@Capgemini” – Our Human Rights Commitments topic?

As part of Ethics@Capgemini, Our Human Rights Commitments module focuses on our


organization’s commitment to respect human rights and helps us maintain an inclusive
culture.

More specifically, this course will help you understand:

• The general framework of business and human rights and Capgemini’s responsibility
to respect human rights within its operations.

• Capgemini’s commitments, as expressed in its Human Rights Policy, and how to


implement them across the company.

7. What is covered under “Ethics@Capgemini” – Harassment-free work environment topic?

As part of Ethics@Capgemini, Harassment-free work environment module focuses on our


commitment to create a respectful and productive work environment where all employees feel
supported and positioned to succeed. You can contribute to this commitment by helping
prevent workplace harassment.

You can help prevent workplace harassment by treating others courteously and professionally.

By completing this course, you will be equipped to:

• Identify various types of workplace harassment including sexual harassment and


improper conduct based on gender identity/expression
• Recognize who can be a harasser and where harassment can happen and
• Report sexual harassment or inappropriate conduct that you experience, witness, or
learn about
Team Managers necessarily have additional responsibilities beyond the regular employee. By
upholding these responsibilities, you are furthering our commitment to maintaining an ethical
workplace where management sets the standard of behavior by role modeling.

By helping create and maintain a respectful workplace, free from harassment, each of us is
contributing to our organization's ethical culture.

8. What is covered under “Ethics@Capgemini” – Understanding Conflict of Interest topic?

As part of Ethics@Capgemini, Understanding Conflict of Interest module focuses on our


organization’s commitment to integrity and helps us maintain a sustainable ethical culture.

Conflicts of interest can cause people to question your honesty, credibility, integrity, and
reputation, which is why it’s important to know how to identify, declare, and manage these
situations effectively.

By completing this course, you will be equipped to:

• Identify conflicts of interest


• Avoid them whenever possible
• Declare conflicts of interest using “Declare” and
• Manage them appropriately

Read our Group Conflict of Interest Policy for more details and seek guidance from your Ethics
& Compliance Officer or team manager. Our organization relies on all our employees to keep
our business dealings honest and fair.

9. What is covered under “Ethics@Capgemini” – Speaking Up and Non-Retaliation topic?

As part of Ethics@Capgemini, Speaking Up and Non-Retaliation module focuses on helping us


understand how to enhance our culture of speaking up and non-retaliation.

By taking this course, you will be equipped to:

• Report actual or suspected unethical, improper, unsafe or illegal conduct in the


workplace
• Avoid taking retaliatory or adverse action against anyone for making a report
• Consult your HR manager or Ethics & Compliance Officer before taking action that may
affect a person who you know has made a report
• Report retaliation you experience after raising a violation or concern

By doing all of these things, you are upholding our organization’s commitment to conducting
business ethically. Remember, if the right way to proceed is ever unclear, seek guidance.
10. Can I access Ethics@Capgemini trainings on mobile or tablet?

Yes, you can. If you have any questions about how to access the training on a mobile or tablet,
please reach out to university@capgemini.com.

11. I have already completed Ethics@Capgemini training last year. How is it different this year?

• Values and Ethics core module is assigned again only if you have not completed it in 2022. If you
have already completed the Values and Ethics core module in 2022, you can see this as the status
on NEXT or My Learning where your learning would show as 100% on My Learning and verified and
completed with a green tick on NEXT. See the screenshots below:
• If you have any questions related to the completion status, please send your questions to
university@capgemini.com ; Alternatively, you can check the status on your NEXT Profile Page or
NEXT Home Page. To learn how to use NEXT to answer your questions on completion status, check

• In 2023, the module on Human Rights is new and assigned to all employees.
• For returning learners who would have completed the other modules on Speaking up and Non-
retaliation, Harassment-free work environment and Understanding Conflict of Interest, these
modules leverage artificial intelligence (A.I.) to create a bespoke learning experience for you. That
means you will see content based on how you performed in 2022 when you completed this
training. For e.g.: You will see more of the content you didn’t perform too well in.

➢ If you have not completed any of these modules in 2022, you will go through the full
recertification for your pending modules.
➢ If you have not completed the training in the last two years, you will be treated as a new learner
and you will have to complete the full training.
