4. If you are the internship supervisor, how would you convince and encourage Mary to appreciate
her internship opportunity?

Waiter/ waitress is a job considered under hospitality management. It helps an individual to build
confidence and posture while providing service to customers. Working as a waitress is not just
taking orders, carrying meals to the table, but also communicating with the guests and
accompanying them to provide them the best service that they deserve. Hospitality is being able
to welcome the visitors in the most encouraging way. When you were assigned as a
waiter/waitress in a certain internship opportunity, you should appreciate it as this is the way you
will be trained to smile and to gain the confidence to talk and welcome customers. Here you will
encounter different people, you will encounter different scenarios in life, meddle with different
attitudes and different customer behaviors. And you will have to provide them excellent customer
service, this will test the extent of your patience and understanding because that is the core values
that is needed in hospitality related fields of endeavor.
