    REFLECTION -MARXISM IN THE MOVIE SHREK

    Marxism is evident in the movie Shrek. Inequality is reflected throughout the


    movie it shows how our appearances could affect how people treat us. It also
    shows us how the perspective of other people could affect our well being. Shrek
    was always criticized for his appearance, being an ogre made people fear him
    even for the smallest reasons. Shrek wasn’t the only one who suffered from
    inequality, all magical creatures were affected by inequality because they were
    different and did not fit the standards of their society. They were seen as a
    hindrance towards their ruler’s “perfect world”. They lost their home and rights
    to live in peace all because they were different. This is how Marxism was reflected
    in the movie Shrek
